So I don't know if anyone watched the Eurovision Song Contest this year or cares about it in general (tbh I wouldn't have either under normal circumstances) but the winning song has an opening riff ripped straight out of Bad Apple and I can't get over that

Why would you subject yourself to Eurovision? I know this might sound strange considering what site we're on but don't value your time at all?

So when I went to the liquor store today I decided to grab something new, and grabbed a couple different flavoured vodka's. Cracked open the Watermelon-Mint one today and damn does it smell perfect, but the minute it touched my lips all the flavour I smelled disappeared leaving behind nothing but bland vodka taste. I've resorted to using it as a mixer, which is disappointing since I could have just picked up a Mio at the grocery store, added it to the booze and gotten a better result. I hope the blueberry turns out better, but at this point I'm not holding my breath.

Turns out the Blueberry one was much, much better. It's always good to have some variety in choice so you don't get sick of the go-to. Keeps things fresh and interesting.

Have you ever heard a Western song that you thought, aside from the language, sounded like it might've been a Slayers OP?

It's actually odd that as much I absolutely love Slayers, I couldn't actually think of what any of the OP's sounded like and had to youtube them.

True, but I don't have the depth of knowledge to choose a good one. Best I can think of is "The Warrior" by Scandal, and its tempo seems too slow to me.

Edit: I'm not sure if it's the fact that Hayashibara Megumi actually sings syllables at a faster rate on the Slayers tracks than they would be in most Western songs, or it just seems that way to me because I can't understand Japanese.

i had my impacted wisdom tooth extracted in mandible, so i needed mandibular nerve anesthesia

quite difficult extraction, it was impacted horizontally + the root apex was kinda close to the inferior alveolar nerve canal

They just put me completely under for my wisdom teeth, because apparently my jaw is too compact for them to do it normally. The half hour after I came out of the ER is still a bit of a fever dream. They ended up nicking a nerve along the way and there's still a portion of my lip that lacks feel, 3+ years later.


Aside: Have you ever looked at your counter and thought to yourself "Have I really drank that much alcohol tonight?". Apparently watching 10 year old game remake twitch streams does me in harder than weekly anime. Who would have guessed?

Just nothing to really do for it, other than attempting an even more invasive surgery where something else has the chance of being nicked.

This tablet I was using is now doing some cursed stuff and I haven't the foggiest on how to go about fixing it.

Tablets are the devil's work anyway, they run weird modified mobile OS's or entirely original ones, they overheat if you look at them wrong, and their screens are never as tough as they're advertised to be.

Okay, problem number 1 is the message "unfortunately the process com.android.systemui has stopped" keeps popping up and won't go away.

Problem number 2 occurs after that by which the touch screen deactivates preventing me from trying to solve the first problem. Only the physical buttons remain useable after that which are of course Power, Volume Control and Home.

Possibly unrelated to the above but Problem number 3 is that the background wallpaper thing has disappeared and is black for a short while before flashing blue repeatedly which gives me a goshdarned headache.

I suspect I've done something irreversible to get it to this state but any advice would be appreciated.

Sounds like some OS files got corrupted somehow, in which case a format might fix it. Unfortunately it's also quite likely to be (or at least be a symptom of) the hardware crappong out, plain and simple. If you've had it longer than three years, it's probably the latter, but I guess taking it to an expert and hoping for the best case scenario is in the cards. Does it heat up a lot when you use it?

It does heat up intensely but it's only been doing that since these problems started.

I suppose I should be grateful it's lasted this long. I reckon it's been at least a decade since I first got it if not more. Certainly got my money's worth at least.
