It still feel that's a baseless meme though re: Seinfeld - has anything since (not made by Larry David) really been similar to Seinfeld? I'd agree it's moreFriends that had a deep influence on TV and culture. Seinfeld has lots of famous phrases and scenes, but it's the snarky banter and comedy-drama style of Friends that you see again and again in later media.

What about Curb Your Enthusiasm?
I never watched Friends much, so I can't tell. But Seinfeld still feels distinct too.
Always Sunny feels like it takes more from Seinfeld. Any show where you have a bunch of misfits that aren't actually very great people but are funny to watch get into trouble.
It was also the beginning of the "multiple cuts to different scenes for jokes" style that reached its apex (and got ruined) by Family Guy.

Cringe comedy is an officially recognized genre now, huh
I'll be completely honest, I never watched any sitcoms anyway, so I have absolutely no idea whether the comparison was "fair" or not. All I know is that this kind of discourse has existed around Seinfeld.
Family Guy didn't ruin it, it's just that it's gotten bad as individual episodes. The clips in youtube work because it's literally just a string of jokes, and watching them in episode form is like an anti-sinergy, making them worse for it.

I phisically couldn't watch Watamote. I can't take that much cringe.
