Yeah, I guess "all the girls have brain problems" kind of reaches the dark pinnacle of the worst tendencies of harem anime. I stand by the idea that the genre has potential for good, but I wish there was more of a tendency to take the character dynamics seriously enough to actually grasp that potential. If you insist on obligating yourselves to write at least one hyperautist every season, at least explore the effects her hyperautism has on what it's like to be who she is instead of just waving her in my direction like I'm supposed to relate to it or something.

I mean, the whole point of being a hyperautist is that relating to things is hard.

I was floated the idea in a Discord server of a video game isekai in which the protagonist is a speedrunner for one of the buggiest games ever made. I guess I'm writing a oneshot or something.

Not actually that big an issue for me, since I just hang around a single subreddit. Old style does fix my problems, but it makes trolling through memes a bit more tedious since there's no loaded image/first paragraph.
