Do you have any prior musical experience?

no
but i'm pretty persistent
I learned the old-fashioned way, but I don't think picking it up on your own is terribly hard. The good thing about guitar is that you can not know what a staff even looks like and still get away with tablatures. There's also a metric shitton of videos for learning the guitar on YouTube, from the absolute basics to very specific movements. You can shop around watching different series until you find someone whose teaching style works with you.
Note though that the guitar probably has among the highest incidences between "can play the guitar" and "can play the guitar well". Like everything, it takes lots and lots of time to sound good. Also, I recommend starting with classic rather than acoustic, but that's just me.

What I suggest is that you go to a music store, one with a bunch of instruments, not just guitars, and find the most basic intro music books you can. The kind they give to fourth grade kids learning a trumpet for the first time. It'll treat you like an idiot, but it's so step by step that by the time you can get to the end of it, you'll have a great grasp of the instrument, even if they only cover 8-10 notes, the rest is super easy to extrapolate and they often have a full note list in the appendices. Plus all the sample songs they make you play are basic nursery rhymes so you know instinctively if you fuck it up.
The one we used here was called Best in Class: (Instrument), and it helped me learn the bass in like a month.

Yeah that'll happen. It's why I play a woodwind.

I dug up my guitars while watching Bocchi but the electric one was busted so now I'm playing the 5~ songs I still remember on a classical guitar, strung with acoustic strings, with a pick.
Every man needs a woman, like Yuka (GSS), or Anora (VBH), or Nier (GBF), but not like Padme (SW) or Lisa (Castlevania).
Nier is a yandere who slaughters entire villages behind your back.
I'm not sure you're making the point you want to be making.

Well, she's certainly more thorough about it than Yuka letting Yoshiki live, yes.
I know, right?
