what anime girl am i???
I tried to look it up, but according to TVtropes (I know, I know, do not speak its name) I just kept getting looped back around for Four Temperament Ensemble (sanguine, choleric, phlegmatic, and melancholic). I actually, for unrelated reasons, took one of those tests the other day and it said I was melancholic. However, I came back because I read this and it's hilarious and I'm dying.
The word "yandere", a term that blossomed in moe fandom, refers to a character who is crazy about someone else...often literally and violently. Despite the anime-inspired name, this type of character is much, much older than that, as one of the earliest examples is the Mesopotamian goddess Ishtar (Inanna).
Imagine that the world is made out of love. Now imagine that it isn’t.
Imagine a story where everything goes wrong, where everyone has their back against the wall, where everyone is in pain and acting selfishly because if they don’t, they’ll die.
Imagine a story, not of good against evil, but of need against need against need, where everyone is at cross-purposes and everyone is to blame.

"We have entered an infinite recursion of Saber."
The Kurisu love in here fills my heart with joy.
I can see this argument and won't press that we apply anime terminology to all ancient mythologies. It's amusing to me specifically because Gilgamesh appears in Fate anime, so looking back at his history and applying this term to Ishtar's relationship to him is hilarious to me. It wouldn't be funny to me except for this specific alignment of things.
What? Why? How is this sugary? Fight me.
