I have also been accused of, and dumped for, being uncommunicative.

My relationship communication skills leave something to be desired too.
I went 3 months flirting & talking, with the guy I like, while thinking he was interested in me also & that everything was fine.
And at 4 months, found out he was complaining about me being around too much so I decided to give him space. Only to fear that he thought I broke up. (except we were never officially together)
Didn't find out until 5 months that he supposedly wasn't interested. -.-;

We talk better now but I think I destroyed whatever interest he might have had. We had fights over some stuff and I don't react well when my emotions get involved. I have a tendency to run and hide. Or break down in tears.

I dunno what to get my dad for his birthday

I was going to say treat him to a nice dinner/home cooked meal but it seems you already decided.

My father is gone. No presents for him.

Speaking of coin collections, I once had this map of the United States where it had holes to put a quarter in for each state (it was a part of that 50 State Quarters Program like 20 years ago) and I got to 40 or so before someone stole all my quarters. Thus ended my enthusiasm to collect coins, having been spent on drugs (most likely).

You know, since we were sharing, and all.

That sucks.
And I vaguely remember someone having one of those maps....
