    Yep. Carr Fire.

    We're fine. We were lucky, saw it coming & got out before we got trapped. They don't kid when they say be ready & packed; there's no time. This isn't our first fire but the first where our house is involved. We lost power so there was no warning, no call, etc. And it exploded so fast they couldn't keep up. I just hope it gets put out soon so there are no more deaths. T.T 6 so far.

    Yeah, I'm hoping for the best outcome too. Home seems to be safe but our road is being used to fight the fire so I suspect they want it clear. (And the fireline was literally across the street.) I just rather there weren't anymore deaths.

    On a side note, I just heard that the fire is so hot that it has been picking up pieces of the road & tossing it at cars. Kind of abstractly fascinating.
