Hey Nachos, hit me with your spiciest UNIEL meme
and of course when i bring up religion being part of my major at all the following comments are...this
thanks internet
@Neir: Generally having what, or who, is viewed as The Good extol you to be better to those around you is not a bad thing. I mean I get the whole "if you're only good to people because of religion/faith, you have issues" comment, but at the same time - from that point of view - goodness stems from the self and has no origin.
I'm also not a fan of the whole hierarchy system in Christianity
All religions p much, have some sort of hierarchy.

As do most forms of group human activity.
I'll give props to church for inventing the idea of a safe space where you can just vomit out all your problems and insecurities and feel better afterwards with very few strings attached
I mean that the various churches in the US line up behind the Republicans isn't in anyway refuted by this remark, but Trump in particular is a rather hilarious example of their worthlessness in and of himself: he hates the poor, is openly adulterous, and basically an out and out atheist. They still dumped all these supposed principles in the end because he could be bribed to sign off against women and LGBT.
I mean the early church had a hierarchy in that particular topic because there were living disciples who had lived alongside Jesus.
It got warped at some point in history, I suppose.
Sounds like you have more of a problem with Roman Catholocism rather than Christianity.
