extremely bizarre dream - involved trying to explain plot of truly appalling video game - steam early access tier i mean somewhere between HDTF and Time Ramesside - gameplay footage: some kind of first-person high speed movement through poorly rendered karst landscape of chinese antiquity, enemies animated jade statues with spears??? - no visible means of attack on screen - with reference to ancient texts and/or modernist poets whose work is compiled in phone-book sized anthologies - while sitting up in bed reading a guy on the side of the room talks unceasingly about things i don't remember - there is a window to my right - he challenges me to look through it and i do and he is seemingly surprised by my head rotation range - pure blackness outside except for a dim pale full moon - at last i find the right page in the anthology, contains work of a poet or translator named Henry Co(?? forget last two letters. perhaps Cope? Coor?) - some kind of ten-line poem which i read - no metre - can't remember the words - next to it a page containing a map of some vast open area - knew instantly from memory it was an underwater kingdom where figures of east asian myth coexisted alongside sentient sea creatures - they sat together in rows in a cinema-like auditorium or command bunker watching a screen - i had been sitting in the audience with them - commenting on how ludicrously overdesigned the gear and outfits was - reference to a sword someone had, perhaps me, ornately engraved hilt and scabbard - gold and silver, jewels, mother of pearl, jade - ludicrous. completely absurd. - they were assembled in that auditorium in response to a threat of some unspecified nature - various plans were made and enacted but none seemed to work - eventually the situation became desperate - there was a pool of water at the front of the auditorium and into this pool was poured some kind of purple liquid - lights dimmed - i gathered we were summoning an ancient seaweed goddess to aid us in our time of crisis. - didn't work out - she turned on us and our fate was sealed.

Yeah it was kinda fun but really sad reading my old posts. I'm so glad I didn't get a gf til recently because fuck I was an immature little shit back then. It's cool still seeing all the same old names after all these years though .
