When a mod dies or is slain, as opposed to popular belief, his power is not taken by his killer. In death, his power returns to the admins to use as our own or to bestow on another mindless pawn to better serve our needs as we war with each other in a thousand minor skirmishes for total control of the forum.

This seems like the appropriate thread to talk about my idea for a simo hayha servant. I think this would be a good servant idea because simo seems like he would be easy to gender flip. And then she would have a cool sword, and a dog, and maybe the dog would actually be a furry. This furries name would be snow. And whenever snow got his, or maybe her head caught in a window or a peanut butter jar, and simo had to get it out, then simo would roll her eyes and be like "you know nothing snow."

Lol, no, it hasn't gone that far with admins yet.

But I swear it's been half-a-dozen times that we've tried to implement some feature or solution, and then got tripped up by stupid localised overrides that we also have to fix. It seems like it should be such a common sense idea that top-level changes are inherited and implemented even by custom settings, especially if the local settings were older than the higher-ranked settings and/or unchanged from default, but nooooooooo.

Also, we apologise to newbies for the inconvenience.
