On a personal level, I dislike "slam-bam-spank you, ma'am" porn because it does nothing for me. You know the type: delivery man arrives, there's no tip for him, he'll give the lady a tip, bow-chicka-wow-wow. I used to think those only existed as parodies, until I started working as a subtitler years ago and found out yep, they're real, and they exist in great quantity.
On a sociological level, I'm actually of the opinion that some amount of porn is healthy for a person's sex life, whether they're single or not. My criticism would be less toward porn per se and more toward specific points, such as the industry's exploitation of its actors, or the rape industry which exists either around or as a part of it (such as underage porn).

The amazing thing IMO is that there's actually a market for subbing such almost totally plotless porn. Like, are there really people out there who can only get off to the pizzaman screwing a hot girl if they can understand what he's saying? I imagine what passes for dialogue in such films is pretty easily discernable from context...
I'm more mystified that there's not already enough of a surplus of those types in whatever language it's being subbed into.

I understand your point. I believe that plotless porn still exist because most people see porn in general as simple fap fodder that don't need anything more than the act itself. That's why I dislike most 3d (real world) porn, except when I want a simple quick fap. The 2d (hentai, especially doujins) are way superior in many ways, as they often have things that the real world would never have, in a way that is so much better than real world's acting (like this, for example - NSFW obviously)

Eh... To be honest, that one still seems pretty dry to me. It's not so much a matter of plot, I'd say - plenty of "fap fodder porn" does have plot, even if it's not good -, but of sensuality, eroticism, and - of course - building anticipation before delivering. I've seen very few movies which did that, most of them, for some reason, French.

Sometimes the quality of the video was so low I couldn't understand what the "characters" were saying, and obviously those movies didn't come with scripts for me to check, so I had to improvise something for the sub.
But yeah, those movies actually tend to have a lot of dialogue, even if it's boring and repetitive. You're forgetting that dirty talk can be quite stimulating when done well.

You're surprised that the French know how to capture sensuality? They are, after all, rather famed for it.
Although on the subject of European porn, old Italian films are some of the best examples of sensuality done right (sometimes actually blurring the line between porn with plot and plot with porn) and German/Dutch porn is highly fetishized, for some reason. Very clinical, too.

Germanic cultures often separate sex and love from each other. Romance cultures like to keep them together. As someone who comes from one, I can safely say I actually hate this. I like my porn rather loveless, since I think romance should be pure and virginal and whatnot.
And that, my friends, is the opinion of someone who doesn't actually know Germanic cultures, Romance cultures, or anything about love, and I seriously doubt they even know anything about sex - or at least sex that hasn't been paid for.
