epic sax man has a special place in my heart not just because it is the epic sax man, but because a popular brasilian minecraft youtuber used it as one of his intros and that's how I got to know it

Italy this year is a snorefest, extra disappointing since one of the two dudes had an absolute bop in 2019.

My faves so far are France, Norway (gay furry extravaganza), Albania, Serbia, Spain.

I just booked a hotel room for my first post Covid anime convention. Now to spend the next four months paranoid that there's going to be another surge that makes me cancel everything last minute and I lose all that cash.

tbh I never look at the entries except ours before the Eurovision happens, you need the wtf factor and spontaneous ranking of entries.

Social media does kind of ruin that but its not like I'm invested enough to care THAT much.

we made it a joke at our yearly eurovision group watch to call one of our friends the stats guy because he gave out some random fact to like 1 or 2 entries

next year he came with a notepad with a fact for every entrant

The Italian rapper had a great song back then, but the rest of his work wasn't that interesting to me. So I hope his entry this year is good too. In the same year was that one albanian woman singing for Cyprus or so? fine summer song IMO.
My best friend is Albanian and I was on vacation in Kosovo two times. the country is dear to me so I hope their entry gets good recognition.

regarding albania, is shiqptare pride an offensive term? I remember a very odd guy (that now exclusively uses IRC after getting knobbed in the bollocks with a fear boulder the size of mars following the rumors of microsoft's purchase of discord) that used to say it as an in joke.

Albanians or rather the whole Balcan is complicated.
But they are pretty patriotic. Very much so.

Related terms are offensive pejoratives to refer to Albanian people in the rest of the Balkans, at least the ex-yu part that I have knowledge of. I guess it's context-dependant and it's best to stick to just using 'albanians' and 'albania' if you're not sure, erring on the side of caution is better since the slavic balkans can be pretty terrible to albanians for no damned reason. However within the actual albanian language afaik that's the term used for the language, country and people.

The balkans are a place for sure.
