I was listening to one of my regular podcasts recently and during the ad break they start pushing this mobile game. A bit odd for a politics/news podcast but whatever pays the bills I guess. The weird thing is that they keep hammering on how its a match 3 game targeted at adults. Like five or six times "Aimed at Adults". Which makes me think that the game is either a)barely not porn, or b) has such predatory gacha/microtransactions that they have to put in the "for Adults" things because otherwise they'd have their asses sued off for bilking money from children.

Or maybe even both.

You know it's funny because after posting that I was like "hmm, I feel like I posted something similar before".

I think most people on Beast's Lair who know me may view me as the the alcoholic depressed guy but I assure you that is not the case normally (although I may be drunk right now). It is simply my posting on Beast's Lair aligned with other unfortunate situations that occurred at the same time as me posting on Beast's Lair. Both situations are actually quite similar in a sense, I think I may have explained the previous situation but it would be unwise to post about the current situation. Under most circumstances I am actually quite normal! It's just everyone needs an outlet and I suppose this place is a fun outlet, because there are no real consequences given I do not truly know people here. Also, this place has always been ripe with irony posting so it makes people laugh, and I like making people laugh. In fact, most things I do on the internet are in attempt to make people laugh. Also note: I'm definitely not an alcoholic I just really, really like looking like an idiot on the internet while drunk.

However I was looking at the previous discussion, and I do have to say Prix is a good person. Sometimes in the sea of irony and self-pity you forget there are others going through things too. I've never really had issue with BL or its people because I've always distanced myself in a sense, but it's wrong to assume that applied to everyone. I apologize for my past actions.

This is a very genuine post posted directly after I stated a life of irony is the ideal life to live. I would delete this post later but that would be a very genuine ting to do so I'll keep it up and we can all pretend I'm being ironic.

I mean, it's true. I think alcoholism requires a certain dependency and frequency whereas (until recently) I only drank on weekends, and I always control my intake where I can still feel normal in the morning (like right now). It's just if I really like posting on Beast's Lair while drunk naturally it might seem like I'm like that a lot.

And even then, I'm not really trying to excuse my posting because in fact, sometimes when I post dumb shit I'm not even drunk!

This is a common misconception, but it's worthwhile to dispel: early BL (that is, BL2) was remarkably sincere. It took about a year for irony to seep in, but that was happening across the internet at a similar pace during a similar time.
