I kept on wondering the same about an ice cream machine but could never get one over in Spain... then I see three at a PriceSmart/Cosco here. Guess what happened...

I think of an ice cream machine as like a waffle iron. You wind up using it less than you expect unless you're an absolute nut for whatever food it makes, but it seems to break a lot anyway. Eh, that's my experience, and I hate to admit it but it was what my mom told me to expect when I bought a waffle iron. Also our experience when we had an ice cream machine in the '90s.

I'd say there is a bit of a gap between things that are used to make a meal, like a Waffle Iron/Panini Press, and something that makes a snack, like an ice cream or popcorn machine. I can justify have an egg poacher for when I want to eat some Egg Benedict, but I can't justify eating enough cotton candy that buying a machine to do it for me is worth it.

I've recently fallen into the hole of Hero Aca fanfics, and I just realized that almost every location, at least in the early story, is named after a Star Wars planet. It's easier to see in text, but how did I miss any of these while I was watching the show?

Like I said, not really something you notice in an anime, and is pretty come and go in the manga, but in a fanfic when you constantly see it written out, it becomes obvious.
