Last time I wrote fiction based on a prompt, all the judges bailed and I never got my prize despite being the community vote winner

Almost done setting up my new computer. Forgot how annoying cable management can be when you put the heatsink before doing as many power and header connectors. Too lazy to fix things right now, so going to leave off the one panel to avoid some wires getting forced against a fan.
Computer POSTs, so all I need to do now is install Windows, update drivers, and swap out my current computer with the new one. Still looking for a FE 3060-Ti from Best Buy, might just call out this Tuesday from work because sitting outside for 3 hours in the sun is way too draining to then want to go to work. Have to burn some of that PTO anyway.

Also, the CPU cooler I got wouldn't fit on my motherboard despite ostensibly being compatible, so that was some money down the drain. Not a lot compared to everything else, but still...

Nothing super amazing, but it's still a nice step up from the 60Hz 23" 1080p monitor I've been using. Viotek GNV27DB2.
Prebuilds have always been fine to get unless you're just pissing money away for no reason, like with Dell's Alienware R13 5k USD piece of shit. They've just been surprisingly decent if you managed to find a good prebuilt still priced at levels before insane GPU hikes because, at that point, any labor costs you were paying the company to assemble it to would have been worth it because it would cost MSRP+that labor just to get the GPU on your own.
