Insofar as I understand what the "alt-right" label is supposed to represent, I neither favor extremist/violent measures nor believe the gov't has it out to get me.

10 years ago, around this time of the year I watched my first "modern" 1-cour moe-style anime, Zero no Tsukaima. It was also the first time I obsessed over a fictional female character.
Good times. It truly was one of the landmarks of my life.

As landmarks go, it's a good one (I say with absolutely no biss whatsoever).

Funny story: the TV had Dark Knight Rises on a few weeks back and absent anything better to do I sat with my dad to watch it. I was barely paying attention and then the airplane scene came up and I started quoting it line for line, cackling like a madman. My dad: "You must really like this movie" Me, still cackling: "I've only watched it once and frankly it kinda sucks".
Lots of other moments too "I wonder whst will break first, your spirit or your body!" "You merely adopted the darkness!"
I was never one much for baneposting (or other similar memery), it frankly impressed me how much of this movie has slipped into the common internet meme-acular.

There was actually a case in my country where a former businessman turned politician actually did have a secret room in his villa and this got busted when he was investigated for corruption. His house was full of expensive (and unaccounted for) artwork and illegal hunting trophies, including a taxidermied polar bear. Gaslighting the rich using their own methods would be kind of poetic even.
