I found Dragon Ball silly as a kid (except the tournament arc). I can't imagine actually watching it as a (sober) adult at this point.

Z is decent if you could watch some kind of supercut version that deletes all the unnecesary footage of someone standing around yelling, all the times an episode repeats an earlier episode plot point frame by frame, all the stock footage, and any time the transforming pig is on screen. Since the abridged version does do some of that (as well as try maybe a bit too hard to parody everything) I can understand why someone might consider ig the superior version.
