He clearly had some sort of adventure with the Radiant Garden Restoration Committee since hes using Fenrir.
Dont get me wrong, Im not complaining. I have no right to do that cosifrrimh I could have not gotten the game at all.
I havent gotten to the end yet, so I cant speak of the whole quite yet.
Overall, the world design is gorgeous, but Arendelle was poorly executed, and was a total slog fest of climbing the same mountain multiple times, with a sledding game that was just a little less fun than the one in The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. It could have been exceptionally beautiful, but they covered everything with that foggy blizzard effect for much of the time in that world, and you barely saw any of the Frozen characters. Also, if you havent seen the movie, there was virtually no way to follow what the heck was going on at any time. Lots of missed opportunities there, especially with Sven and Olaf.
Moreover, you could tell very clearly that the budget for this was lower than that of either of its predecessors considering they couldnt get a fair few people. I was never expecting Johnny Depp, or anything, but I was at least expecting Mandy Moore for Rapunzel. Back when KHII was made, wasnt Jesse McCartney at the height of his fame? He and the late Christopher Lee alone must have cost a sum of money that would make me pass out. And here they couldnt get Tom Hanks. Not that hes less of a powerhouse than Lee.
The San Fransokyo was fantastic. I could dig for hours trying to find something wrong with this world and come up empty handed. The Caribbean, on the other hand, was
well, over-the-top gorgeous and I was shocked that Donald and Goofy didnt look nearly as out-of-place as I would have expected, and I loved Soras pirate costume, but the whole world was just hugely overstated. And it overstated its welcome. It was too big, it was practically another game inside the first one, and as fun as the sailing was, this one world probably took them over a year to make on its own, when they could easily have done, lets say, Ant Island from A Bugs Life, New Orleans and The Bayou from The Princess and the Frog, and finished Radiant Garden if they had just discarded this over-the-top nonsense. Dont get me wrong. It was riveting, and I mean that with no sarcasm whatsoever; I loved The Caribbean. But it didnt need to be quite so intricate. I would have preferred more story, and more repeat Organization encounters than to just get that one ginormous world. Luxors was totes rad though.
Twilight Town could not have been better. Actually, it could have; they could have made the inside of the mansion and the bell tower accessible, but seeing Tram Common full of people was heartwarming in a way I find hard to describe.
What bothered me the most though
Was the thing that couldnt be helped.
Leonard Nemoy is gone.
Over the years since Birth by Sleep, the thought of Master Xehanort playing a large role in the final instalment just gave me chills, because I just loved Nemoys performance that much.
I cannot forgive Nomura from delegating resources to trash projects that never broke even when he could have been working on this game because Leonard Nemoy passed away before he could complete his role. I sound like a total scumbag
Nemoy really became like Christopher Lee in his later years, in that his voice became incredibly distinctive. And the world is a colder place without him.
Weird how I actually miss celebrities now. Leonard Nemoy, Christopher Lee, Gene Wilder, weve even lost Carrie Fisher.
If Nomura didnt at least have the good sense to make a memorial for all the staff and talent that passed away while this game was in production during the credits, Ill be a little offended. But for now, I have a game to finish. And regardless of how torn I am about this game, I know that Ill ultimately see it in a positive light.
