    ^^That would probably make the Ruby/Weiss shippers even happier. Beta couples have a massively greater chance of going beyond subtext. Except in that scenario, they'd just be Haremettes #s 2 and 3, the spunky, friendly pal and the tsundere.

    Considering yuri fans noticed when the show focused on Jaune for more than two episodes, I don't think the decoy worked very well.

    She's obviously Jaune's not-quite-stated-but-everyone-can-see-it romance. Her life therefore rests on whether or not Jaune can find the strength to fight for others without being compelled by the death of his loved one.

    If it's anime that's influencing the plot decisions, then we can be assured either that romance is not in fact any kind of factor on whether someone lives or dies, since romance in this genre is unrequited, OR that she's definitely going to die when killed because romance that thrives in anime is doomed to death or eternal separation.

    Pyrrha isn't nearly as hated by the fandom though. At least, not yet.
