On YouTube you can at least watch it with captions turned on (if you can get the captions to actually turn on, why does Google have to make everything a mess these days?), though that only works if you watch on YouTube and not on computer.
Those captions are machine-generated though, so they come off like bootlegged Chinese translations.

EDIT2: If you want official subtitles, it looks like RWBY Volume 1 (DVD, Blu-Ray, or digital video) has closed captioning. You find it on Amazon, Google Play, and iTunes (links to digital video versions). Or search for it on your preferred download site.
Oh, and as for YouTube, it looks to me as though episodes 1-3 are subbed, but the rest only have automatic captions right now.

Yes, Youtube and a couple others have "english" subtitles for at least Episodes 01-05/08/09, which I already managed to salvage...
But, since I have all Episodes on my computer, I wanted all the english subtitle files, me asking for streams with subtitles was what I thought to be the best way to rip them to my computer, since I can't find them on any subtitles site.
I'm portuguese but I'd much prefer the subtitles to be in english, to match the audio, since there are things that simply pass me by listening only...
I do get it, the problem is that there just isn't a good answer. The absolute best that can be suggested is watch the videos online when they have decent captions, read the transcripts for the ones that don't and maybe hope that the Brazilian team does a good job of translating. Or hope that the RWBY volume 1 has captions.

The question about the brazilian subs is not their quality, it's that I want english subs to match with the audio, so I can get the gags and speedy dialogue more easily... That's all...
My DVD of the first volume finally showed up! It really does flow together much better in one sitting than as a once-a-week five-minute goof-fest. And it does look cleaner, with fewer animation glitches. And... I might be imagining it, but it seems like there are some new lines added to some of the scenes?
Maybe it's just the audio is better, so I can hear them better now.
