I think we're kinda splitting here on what we mean at this point.
Sure a fight against a huge ass menace with less range of movement is cool too but there's no reason its more limited movement has to be jaggy and stiffer than character animation. I don't want the Dragon to do aerial flips and quick swipes.
actually there probably is a reason in that it would just start clipping like hell but the fact remains that it looks yanky

Well wasn't a bad episode per say but needed more fights, like a continuation of oz vs cinder that started good.

They could do the Ruby going ??? on the top of the tower better. They also could show rather than tell what exactly happened at the top of the tower. Ruby's father VA doesnt seem to fit him at all. Fights we're really cool though.
Find it funny how last two episodes had at least a showing of every single sidecharacter from other teams and shit and even velvet bullshit, but in the last episode two of 'mc's are almost non-existent. Silly.
Credit songs are amazing. And given how good ost of the second half was, i think it makes up for a shitty opening. Which is all that matters i guess.
And another thing. Given Cinder display of maiden power, Amber looks really pathetic. She wasnt particularly impressive even in her fight episode, but now that we have a comparision material, its just pathetic.

Human on human fights are always better-looking. Grimm fights aren't always garbage-tier, and sometimes all-on-one stuff can be cool like episode 8 way back in volume 1. But the fights lose a certain something when they can't channel the Matrix or Jackie Chan movies.
Cinder's response was hilarious. I wonder how many more factual legends will come squirming out of the woodwork.
The thing I'm looking forward to most is getting out of Vale. It's a colorful world. I'd like to see more of it, especially Menagerie.

-Edit- As an afternote, I have to say that for any and all who decided to stop following this series after Monty passed away and its future was in doubt, I would suggest you at least give it a try. S3 is undoubtedly much better than S1 or S2 and like the title of today's episode, it seems the show has finally stepped out of it's introductory phase now. And considering that the story board lines are lined up as far as 20 more seasons (plz god no, I can't even begin to believe it's THAT far ahead planned out) it looks like there will be plenty more of Remnant to learn of and enjoy.

The use of TV Tropes buzzwords, the swearing that isn't actually at all warranted and presuming Ozpin is dead when he clearly isn't are all going to mark you down. Best I can do is 2/5.
Obviously, RWBY is set in the Matrix, Ozpin is an Agent, and Cinder is really trying to free us from this meta reality in which we're too obsessed with our fairy tales.
