10 of those seasons are just RJNR having random encounters along their way to the plot.

Goddamn that was a gutpunch. I mean I knew the moment THAT happened the death flag was irremovable, but goddamnit the way she went out was excellent and more than a little cruel.
Serious questions on what exactly Ruby and Summer are descendants of, and I feel that will be a slow burn over the next couple of years.
I'm happy I was right that Taiyang finally appeared, kind of shook the potential image I had of him in my head to find out he would more likely have WORLD'S BIGGEST DAD tattoo on his chest rather than a one of war or Grimm or something.
Yang falling into a deep depression is an expected transition, but man I wasn't expecting the depth of how far down the dark hole she's already gotten.
Ozpin was such a badass for the first few seconds we saw, but than he just up and abandoned the fight. Seriously, WTF.

I'll hazard a guess and say that Cinder is time frozen like the Dragon is, but of course that can't be confirmed. Hope she is though, I want to see more of the new villian. Who I don't think is the 'Queen' hacker/tech that has been helping Cinder.

Finally, Jen Taylor speech at the end was pure sex. Love Salam's design. Can't tell if she's the Grimm Queen, the Winter Maiden, a corrupted Winter Maiden or something else entirely, but I hope to hear and see more of her soon this Fall.

i'm actually genuinely surprised at how huge a leap in animation quality they took between this volume and the last. Volume 2 was a general improvement over volume 1's animation mess, but this volume was actually like generally well animated for the most part, I was honestly shocked at how big a leap they made in pretty much everything human model rig, texture and keyframe wise.

Was like going from a 2 to a 6.

Also that alpha beowulf moving like something that actually could be an animal.

As far as Pyrrha goes, she was planned to die that way since the original storyboarding of the series. Jen Brown (her VA) made a Twitter post about it that's been moved down the timeline by now so I'll put this here in spoilers just because it's long.

To start let me just say it has been a true honor to play such a vibrant character. Playing Pyrrha meant the absolute world to me and getting to see how much she meant to many of you as well means a lot.

The entire Rooster Teeth team and RWBY crew deserves so much praise for how beautifully the show was handled. I have known from the minute I was cast 3 years ago that this would be Pyrrha's fate. It was Monty's intention from the start. And although it is kind of a relief to no longer have to keep it to myself, I am very sad that her journey has come to an end. Watching that final scene was beyond emotional for me. When you've invested so much into a character it is hard to let them go.

Most importantly I thank Monty. I miss him every day and thank him for trusting me with Pyrrha. Monty also intended for me to play other roles after Pyrrha's exit and although I have no further details right now... I fully trust that Miles Luna and Kerry Shawcross will stay true to his wishes and have me back as someone new. I love those guys.

I end by giving my heartfelt gratitude to you the viewer. You guys are seriously the best. And for the last time, I'm sorry!

I honestly don't think that it was so much that she's bad, but they wrote her too impossibly narrative and didactic to ever come across as human. Like blaming Natalie Portman for "You're breaking my heart! You're going down a path that I can't follow!" since people don't talk like that.
