You know since there has been a Part Two of Red Like Roses I wonder if there are going to be other Part Two's of the character themes.
What's the problem and how much of it is your fault?

Nope, just Red like Roses Part Three.
    Ragnarok, come day of wrath
That fallen souls might bear our plea.
    To hasten the Divine's return.
    O piteous Wanderer.

    Jardin.

Which in french (Jeanne and Winchester's language) means Garden. The term symbolizes that their Garden of love is ever-flourishing.

Al of this in very little thinking time. I should start shipping things. Or not.

@Bloble: You shut the hell up, you're like in every RP on the page, you MIRACULOUSLY LUCKY whore-monger. You not getting in is like me winning the lottery in two states, obtaining a girlfriend, and not ending up nursing another migraine, simultaneously, by the end of this evening.

On a more serious note, I've noted a lot of "Did Faunus descend from Grimm?" speculation, based on Blake staring at the statue out front of Beacon and the way her gaze panned down from the huntsman and huntress to the defeated Grimm before she took off her bow. (Me, I wonder if the hooded huntress might have been a Faunus...) One thing I note there is that Pyrrha's discussion of Aura in Ep. 6 seems to nerf that somewhat, where she notes that even animals have souls and Aura, whereas the creatures of Grimm do not. So, Aura user = soul, and therefore Faunus <> Grimm. (Not necessarily in origin, but there's a specific difference.)

By the way, is the official spelling Grimm or Grim? Come to think of it, is there any official source of general information? The wiki is, after all, collected and collated by fans and subject to all kinds of quality control risks. It's not like the Type/MOON wiki, since at least RWBY comes from sources in English and there's not a lot of difficult-to-access data flying around, but...

Which still leaves us with a lot of room to speculate on origins. Like, were they someone's little science fair project, or did they just kinda happen? If the former, why? If the latter, how?

They do seem to be very effective soldiers. What with the night vision and animal senses and stuff.
