    It's a lot of exposition.

    Liked Jaune's characterization this episode.

Blake still a emo grumpy cat

Wow, that Ruby/Qrow versus Tyrian fight was absolutely incredible. Rwby has definitely recaptured the same glory it had back when Monty was around.

The stop motion was still extremely painful and is definitely not the best they're done with it. It wasn't bad, but it was far from being a great fight scene. Still a long way to go to get anywhere near Monty's level imo.

Anyhow I'm probably late to the party on this, but with everything surrounding Oscar this book suddenly seems much more relevant.

Eh, the stop motion only shows up in the middle of the fight right before Qrow's boxing. And I'd definitely call it their best implementation of it. It's leagues better than the Ruby short, Qrow vs Winter and Weiss vs. robots. It helps that the models are still in very clear active motion even if they're key framing their position(which is the benefit of stop motion with 3D animation). Whereas previous iterations they were just frozen in new positions.

If you don't like stop motion at all, I can understand, but Qrow vs. Tyrian is vastly superior at its usage compared to all other versions in show.

Welp, we're Quadforce now it seems. Goddamnit Sun. I don't think Qrow kicked the proverbial bucket there, but damn that looked pretty convincing.

    Episode with all four girls.

It's amazing that Yang's had the least time but is the most engaging one. I guess brevity really is the soul of wit.

I'd say least interesting is Ruby's. But Qrow is packaged with her so she ends up in #2 just because his parts have been so good.

Weiss's is just there. It's not great, it's not terrible.

Blake coming up last just cause well most Blake stuff is contrived and angsty and this was no less of either.

If you take out Qrow from Ruby's section it'd go

    Yang>Weiss>>>>>>>>>Blake>Ruby

Hm, I'd say all four sections of this week's episode fit perfectly.

Yang's on her way to being back to full strength and evolving beyond her old fighting style; Only question I have is when is she going back to the shotgun gauntlets... Or is she going pure martial arts and her new arm has the functionality to provide ranged fire support?

Weiss looks like she's ready to head to Atlas Academy and Ironwood now that she can summon the knight - even if it is smaller than the trailer - and perhaps develop a plan with Winter to undermine Jacque and Whitley's standing. Poor Clyne is probably going to get punished though.

Blake is back to being emocat after her latest incident. Kind of cool to see that the ninja gimmick for Illya wasn't as terribly cliche as it could have been; Being a chameleon with the ability to change skin colors and pallets is a neat choice imo.

Ruby and Jaune going one way to Kuroyuri with Qrow in tow toward another place with that symbol and Ren had no intention of going. Yeah, I'd say Raven and her tribe's home base is in that ruined town. Could possibly be abandoned, but considering that Qrow needs immediate medical attention I'm sure she'll be there - possibly the Spring Maiden as well, going by some clues we had earlier this season. Only question left is what are Ren and Nora going to encounter up in the mountains...

Actually the most interesting story is Ozpin's :P

But I agree Yang's story is the most engaging, though I'd rank Blake before Weiss.
Weiss is just beginning her journey, and this is just a prelude (it is interesting knowing her background).
I also agree about Ruby and Qrow. I hope he'll make it.

I wish they'd make a full length movie in the future. The episodes are always too short.

And as always eagerly waiting for the OST.

I think everybody's section is more interesting than Weiss's

The problem with the other two is they're mired in needless bullshit/dull Character wise for Blake and Ruby respectively.

Weiss' problem seems to be the easiest to deal with in that she can run away. There's nothing holding her back now that her father has taken it away. Why she doesn't just gut him like a fish is beyond me, but I guess she's just decent. Blake is just running from her problems until they follow her home, and then ignoring them until it gets Sun stuffed in a fridge. Ruby's problem is that she was being reckless and lost their map, while Yang's is calming down and learning from her mistake while gaining back her confidence. They're contrasting each other.

While I'd hate to see that happen (Sun's great!), it'd be nice to see a male character getting "fridged" to motivate a heroine for once.
