    This EP was actually legitimately great, it had one line that made me laugh ("Weren't you in a cult or something?"), great action scenes and Penny turned out to be an artificial being that uses floating swords that goes yandere for the main character.

    Teh interwebs seem convinced that Monty is ripping Penny off from something, but can't quite agree on what. The lead candidates seem to be Irelia from League of Legends, Murakumo Units from Blazblue, and his own Namine from Dead Fantasy. Which says "generic weapon concept" to me, though the marionette strings as a control mechanism seem to be a unique addition.

    Fuck, I'd be willing to tolerate literally anything for delicious Monty-animated battle scenes. That everything else is also good (or at least passable), with a few characters especially standing out, is a bonus.

    So, I didn't really have any high expectations for the whole thing, but I guess I.. kinda enjoyed it? Yeah, that sounds about right.

    I don't really care to be honest, I love Nu (if you have any other BB waifu ur taste a shit) and having a character do at least some of the crazy shit she can do (portal upgrade when penny) with nice animation is enough for me.

    SoL part animation also was a lot better this time around. I'm guessing pretty much all of the week preparation time went into this EP. Also the conflict between Blake and Weiss is at least still boiling under the surface I feel (with the whole ignoring/shoving it aside for now bit), otherwise I'd be really mad.

    Don't make me mad Monty, pls.

    Also Blake having afterimages made her style feel way more distinct than it did in her trailer, best main girl.
