O piteous Wanderer.
Didn't Amber hear the little girl crying?
No I mean there's a consistent audio cue when she uses her illusions that didn't play this episode.

Besides you know it's really Mercury because he brought music with him.

Oh you mean the audio tell of her semblance.
Merc may not have a brain, but he's got good beat

Spoiler:
Well ... shit.
Also hope this puts away the delusion that Emerald's not going to eat shit super hard when the time comes.
Well, given her rap sheet now, the fandom is probably going to be calling for her blood once it stops screaming about dead waifus.
Maybe. Depends on the waifu body count at the end of the season.
This picture turned out far more prophetic than it was probably intended to be.
Spoiler:
I figure at most this season has 1-2 more body counts in store. One of those being pyrrha(be it through actual or spiritual death)
I think there's a chance Emerald might die, so that the villains don't get off scot-free. It looks like the constant use of her semblance is wearing her out, so it would make sense if Emerald fell behind or Cinder sacrifices her now that her role in the plan is over.
(Also, Emerald's VA is Katie Newville. Her husband Shane Newville was lead animator for RWBY until the sudden news of his departure recently, so depending on what happened there we might see her leave, too.)
I doubt they're dropping off emerald so soon. And Katie can be replaced if she even is giving up the position.
I hate emerald, but I respect how Cinder worked with so little to bring them all so low.
“Yet the burden shall be shared by two entwined, from which the sword will part from the body and be bestowed upon the vassal to sacrifice themselves and cleave through space and time.”
“Mark upon this unworthy flesh the emblem of the sacrifice, the vassal whose death shall bring forth victory through the fields of steel and blood!”
“The oath is laid here. We are the ones who represent all the good within the pure lands, and we are the ones who judge what is evil within the pure lands. Thou, Seven Heavens clad in three mere words of unequal power, shall emerge from the spiral of control, O keeper of the balance—!”
Cinder is a great example of working smarter, not harder.
The good guys are a little too oblivious to make her plans go so smoothly, though.
