    Fate/hollow ataraxia Disk Check?

I can't run the game. I think it's asking me if the disk is in the drive, since there is a directory for that on the disk itself. The disk is in, but it's not working. Do I need a fix or something?

Try it without the disk and then with the disk again. If it still doesn't work, just reinstall it.

It says you need to be an administrator. Try running it as administrator maybe?

Tried administrator, but that didn't help. What do the error messages say, exactly?

First one tells you to put the disk in the drive, pretty self-explanatory.

Second one says you need administrator privileges for the disk check and you should either log in as an administrator or give your current account administrator privileges.

You could just try looking for a crack. I'm sure one exists somewhere....

    Or a no-DVD patch.

I would prefer not using one, especially since I have the disk. Is this a Windows 7 problem?

    Why?

The only games that I don't use cracks for are ones that run off ISOs (or which lack any CD check at all), because I don't really want to have to put the game disk in the drive every time I want to play it....

I can sort of understand the feeling, when you pay that much for the game disk you kind of want to use it...

Exactly, the principle of the matter.

Plus, I only play one game at a time. Leaving a disk in one of my two drives is not a big deal for me.

In the manual is a link for tech support site along with a code for genuine products. Their support is actually pretty good, and if I remember right, there was something about Windows 7 there. I just used Google Translate with copy/paste to read it all.

I followed their support and got a registry key. I added it and it disabled the disk check! But now some error occurs when I exit and my screen is flooded with error message windows. >.<

Use a no-DVD patch and leave the disc in regardless of it?

I'm just going to use the no-DVD crack/patch.

Did you find one? I think I came across one awhile back and may still have it somewhere. A simple executable that you run once and it should fix the issue. I would just run the game without the disk, since if it isn't needed then there's no reason to have it spinning. It's best off safe in it's box, since this problem seems to be an issue with your computer; so the disk itself is fine.
