    Kyoukai no Kanata -Kyoani's new legit action series

    Rejoice everyone who wanted Kyoani to stop animating moe, this is a dark fantasy novel and it's not dumb like Full Metal Panic so everyone wins.

    Translated literally as "Beyond the Boundary", Kyoukai no Kanata is another novel that is published by Kyoani (I think). Last year they released a CM for a hypothetical animation for it but it wasn't actually in the works (I guess it was to just advertise the novels). Until now that they recently updated there website or so I'm told. http://www.kyotoanimation.co.jp/books/kyokai/


    If this turns out to be ANN being just plain wrong I will be upset.

    Edit: oh yeah, the story is about some half yomu guy who heals super quick to the point of invulnerability and a girl who can manipulate blood. Stuff happens, they probably fight crime which results in them lusting for each other's crime fighting genitalia.

    I mean, just from the abilities, a descriptor like "dark fantasy", and the commerical I imagine there is plenty of fighting. I guess it could always end up being talkier then Kara no Kyoukai and then I would feel silly for getting your hopes up.

    Its not like the talking part would be a downer.

    Yes yes, and it's fantasy set in contemporary times so the comparison is really natural. I would love a such an anime as well.

    This sounds pretty good. Also, like everyone, KyoAni doing an action series sounds awesome. We already saw a hint of how good it would be in Chuunibyou, so I guess now is the time for them to compete with ufotable in the OMG-action-graphics department. Speaking of which, there's only one (soon to be two) novel of this out currently right? Is this gonna be a Chuuni rewrite thing again?
