Just Another Mecha Anime. I don't know it's only been one episode. I guess it was nice that the main character confessed his love to the girl at the beginning, even if they only seemed comfortable with that because she died that episode. They were also surprisingly graphic with the deaths (but none of the students died?).

err.. why some people call Haruto vampire? he wasn't sucking blood or anything yet.
He rezzed from something that should've killed him and bit somebody on the neck. Hard. With a crazy feral look in his eyes. That's good enough for the moment. Vamp/Zombie is just the catch-all term people are apparently going for until we have more confirmation on what the deal is with the system.

Meh. First episode was supremely generic up until the last bit (by generic I mean almost a carbon copy ripoff of Gundam 0079, SEED, and Unicorn, the only Gundams I've actually seen. Probably gonna end up being either so bad it's good or wallow in mediocrity with a Shoe tier protagonist.
I do like the rival character though. He gets shit done.
Sheesh people, stop making Guilty Crown references and comparisons. (Continued from Anime thread) You're gonna make me paranoid here.
The next person to mention Guilty Crown in this thread gets gored.

Sorry Al, but even you can't deny that it's a Shoe-in for most generic first episode of the year (barring the crazy space vampire bit at the end).
Really, I'd feel Guilty about insulting it like this, but Valvrave really does deserve the Crown of Genericus.
Very Very Gundam-ish (not that that is a bad thing, but I'd rather see a bit more originality), but I'll see where it goes.

The question then becomes, will that be meaningful as the series continues or will it just be window dressing to gloss over, nothing more then an easy explanation for why he can fight on par with veteran soldiers.
