I personally think using that form required a bunch of energy expense, and after she was defeated, she could no longer maintain it. In any case, it ravaged her body and essentially killed her.
Because whenever the final boss turns into a giant grooly monster, the transformation is always undone when they're defeated. It's traditional.

I've always been curious about Ailell and what actually is the deal with the Javelins of Light. I mean, Ailell itself is a desolate wasteland akin to a fallout site or nuclear impact site, and the plants that grow there have magical properties as a result of growing in such a place, akin to the real life phenomenon where plants and animals living in the Chernobyl area have special adaptations in their genomes to tolerate the high background radiation. The comparison completely falls apart when it comes to people. I mean, whole armies were able to match through there without so much as a concern for possible health effects on soldiers, and in the past, monks of the Church of Seiros used to go there for extended periods of time as spiritual training. This raises questions about what the Javelins of Light are and what effects they have. What do you guys think?

Also it's been thousands of years since the Ailell impact. Anything really dangerous would have decayed into insignificance.
It's only been 1000 at most. I mean, the fragment of that one Elite's journal (hc it as Blaiddyd's) mentions an Ailell Forest. Also, the half-life of U-235 IRL is hundreds of thousands of years.

But there wasn't lava before, so probably Ailell was on top of a magma deposit that bubbled up post-impact?
