Glad you learned that from experience. Now you know never to do that again. Also, I would still try and poach Ingrid because of how good she is even without Luin. The way to easily poach students is to get a B-Support with them, which lowers the requisite rank for their preferred skills to D+. And for Ferdinand, you only need the hidden C+ Support, which is hard to get and difficult to tell when you've got it.
