If there was a ranking of lords about wit, Alear would be in the upper half.

In fates the first healer was either jakob or felicia depending of the gender, in 3H Sylvain was insta recruitable if female, but there was no real change to the dialogues outside of supports. Rhea/Edelgard craved to get get laid with Byleth in both cases.
Male/Female choice was created in awakening to save the franchise from death by appealing to self-insert marriage simulator... enjoyers? Nothing more.


And ASMR wakeup is an homage to the most useful and gamechanging feature a tactical rpg needs.

my fire_emblem_engage.exe must be bugged and have 5000 units more than intended then

basically what you do turn 1 is merge your split forces mid, clussy warp-drops one of your lanes, put fast units on the other, your warp-ragnarok can jump lanes by themselves
the map is actually really short if you don't get hit by the snowblast, you clear the first half of the lane turn 1 -2 using dances, chokepoint the passages with obstruct staves and your armor and fog vein
you have 3 more turns to make your way into the second part of the lane and loot the axe
turn 6 clussy entraps the boss and chapter ends

Yeah, there is an astronomical experience/stat gap. Most of these characters are 10+ levels above mine.

I know all that. Fates touching minigame was censored for us International version plebs though.

No idea who to put Corrin on. She seems absolutely invaluable on maps with miasma and the like, but otherwise I don't see any use for her besides long-range debuffing of bosses with Draconic Aura. And her stat boosts being mostly HP make her feel kind of... meh?

Clanne has 10% magic growth
Anna comes with 15% str growth and you need foreknowledge or galaxy brain to reclass her into mage/cleric early on
Etie has no stats except STR
First proper mage you get is Citrinne and she's magic Etie
