Yeah I hear it's a super empty sandbox which on the face of it is obvious but I at least hoped they had hidden cool stuff in there.
It looks pretty but doesn't look fun.

Most reactions I've heard boil down to it being about what would be expected based on earlier descriptions. Unless the person describing it got on the hype train, but it was never going to live up to that.
If you want to sail the planets in search of combat and excitement, seeking out new life, and then banging it, I've got a recommendation.
I mean, it's not exactly 3d space adventures with pretty landscapes and skyboxes and shit, but it's interesting, and with surprisingly good.

Tried Battlefield 1 Beta. Screenshots from Ultra settings @ 4K.
It's fun, although I'm terrible.
At first I had 15fps and I was wondering what was going on. It's because I set render scale to 100%, which I thought was native resolution, but it's actually 100% upscale so I was playing at 8K. They need to set it to say 200% instead.
