Oh wow, I remember hearing about that one all the way back when I first got in touch with VNs in 2009. Nice to see it finally translated, even if it is on Steam.

Yeah its been a long ass time, the game seemed pretty cursed with the various attempts at fantls that just died.

Seems like its been one helluva journey for the official localizers too. One of the sekai project guys said it took 3 whopping years(!!!) just to negotiate with Giga, and then finally another 3 years to translate.

Speaking of Sekai Project, apparently they're publishing a mecha game now (???).

Wow was that a shitty Game Awards. No Smash Announcement, nothing super hyped. No More Heroes 3 Trailer was fun, but we already knew it was happening and the trailer showed literally nothing of it. Wolf Among US 2 apparently exists despite Telltale being dead, but exclusive to Epic. Bravely Default 2 was neat, but damn did those models look like they were still on the 3DS. And the final big, showstopping trailer is a Fast and Furious game that looks like its for early PS3, introduced by a heavily intoxicated Michelle Rodriguez. I hope she doesn't get picked up for DUI again after this or else Fast 9 will have have Ludacris kill her character out of nowhere.

The weirdest thing about the Bravely Default 2 trailer was two of the main party looking like Agnes and Tiz only with swapped hair colours.

Holy crap. So, thanks to the Epic Store's infinite money, not only did I get the winter sale discount, I also got their £10 off voucher and ended up with Control for £22.

Also, they have a free game and/or game collection going on every week, and for the next couple days they have one free every day.

Aniplex launches a brand called Aniplex.exe, which is focused on making all-ages visual novels, aiming for worldwide releases. They announced two visual novels for 2020, one together with Frontwing and other with Liar-Soft. Fate drones may recognize the latter as the old home of both Sakurai and Hoshizora Meteor.

For once some good news instead of "VN maker X switches over to gambling industry!" or "VN maker Y goes bankrupt!".

Liar soft is most commonly known for Hikaru Sakurais steampunk series, aka the ”What a beautiful...” series. Their works are typically recognizable by artsy, super stylized visuals. Worthy to note that its also the company that developed Hoshizora Meteors Kusarihime, which Nasu wanked to so hard he accidentally wrote Heavens Feel.

the WAB series, or Sekien no Inganock in particular, is also behind the old VN community meme war of REAL DEAL VN vs DISNEY VN from ca... 2009 i think it was. Tho you dont see it much these days. A shame, good meme it was.
