More than anything it's the mindboggling fact that yet again, they did it. An AAA studio and its patrons has invested millions of dollars into video game development. For starters, beyond other numerous measures that studios have in place to ensure that this does not happen, they have an entire board of suits who, while usually hated for appealing to lowest common denominator, are also there to make sure that the entire thing does not become the director's ego trip at the expense of the IP's future a-la The Last Jedi.

Was the gameplay in the first one really that good? Wasn't it just making a bunch of pipe bombs interspersed with pretty mediocre gun/bow segments?

It was pretty tense, though I admit for me half the difficulty was wrestling with the controller to line up shots. Someone actually used to shooters with a PS4 stick would probably do much better.

-Oh yeah, on the subject of Druckmann, there's a character in the game modeled after him... which also happens to be Abby's boyfriend. And they fuck! On camera! Which is kind of insanely hypocritical given Sony's increasingly ridiculous censorship everywhere else. Oh and the scene seems to be mocap, perhaps mocapped by Druckmann itself, nobody really knows.

Can you imagine being an overworked naughty dog employee already pissed with the direction your boss Mr. Druckmann is taking the game, and then he walks in and tells you to make a hyperrealistic sex scene featuring him? I cant get over how nasty this is.

I loved Naughty dog when they did Crash and Jak&Daxter. The omg muh graffixxx, “games for grown ups” era naughty dog im pretty indifferent to. Didnt care about Uncharted, Last of Us was a nice movie but pretty unremarkable game. Not a big loss on my part, but still pretty appalling behavior from them. Or rather, *him*, as it seems Mister Druckmann has somewhat of a dictator status in the company.

Never played Uncharted either, and The Last of Us was okay but definitely overrated.

Honestly I loved Last of Us. I think it's probably my favourite PS3 game. It made me like a zombie game, a genre I really never grasped the appeal of. I still think Part 2 is superfluous enough that I'll only ever pick it up when it's on sale for >10$.

True, but apparently, even the actors are getting flack for it, which is pretty ridiculous. As I repeatedly make that joke about wanting to get David Lodge's autograph for Persona 2.

I am surprised no one in the last 24 hours has posted anything here about what's going on in the Smash Bros and FGC communities. Shit is real fucked up.

Pedophiles everywhere. What seems like 20 of the top Smash players, and the, now former, CEO of EVO. All within 24 hours. It's a bit of a dumpster fire right now. Fun if you can get past the soul crushing fact that all these people were leveraging being good at video games to groom underaged kids into sexual relationships.

Mr. Wiz, one of the main heads of EVO, was outed as a pedo predator who was manipulating underage boys to do sexually related things.

Sponsors, companies, and other FGC people have abandoned EVO at least for this year so it's basically cancelled.

Couple of notable Smash people were outed as sexual harassers and predators on underage children. You can see why this matters considering Smash is saturated with kids playing and competing.

You're seeing a wave of people being outed as scummy people across the FGC and video game community.

It will also probably damage the reputation of the event, the FGC, and probably the whole Video game industry as a whole.

Well, weren't the GBF Versus devs concerned that sexier outfits may not be allowed at EVO, so they tried not to use those characters? With that annoyance of an organization out of the way, there should no longer be any such... inconveniences.

Huh i saw the evo thing, but didn’t realize the smash bros community imploded as well. It’s not like there hasn’t been drama in that community or any community in general, but such a widespread sexual one connected to the squeky clean Nintendo image? Hoo boy.
