I really like how Legends looks. It's got me excited.

DP remakes look... it looks fine, but nothing special. I wish it had used an artstyle closer to SWSH, because part of the fun of the RS remakes was getting a new angle on Hoenn. But it also looks kind of charming, like the Link's Awakening remake in a way. I'm surprised they didn't change any of the characters' designs though, all previous remakes have.

Kinda sad we didn't get Fennekin as the Fire Starter, that way we would have a RPG-style set of a Samurai, an Archer and a Mage. Instead we got the fire mohawk one.

Yeah Cyndaquil is weird given the other two are more clearly themed for a feudal Japan setting. But I'll be choosing Cyndaquil because I love him.

There's no way the remakes will have character customization but I wonder if Legends will. I also wonder if ancient Sinnoh will be completely wild or if there will be Ainu-equivalent natives.

I did wonder that myself, probably too sensitive an issue that GF would rather sidestep methinks.

But on the other hand, it's Miranda so who cares? I swear the only reason the devs made her so curvy is because her character is so flat. She's probably the worst choice for M!Shep in 2, and second only to Ashley in the series.

Edit: Oh wait I just remembered Chambers is a thing, yeah that's the worst right there.

Having played the visual novel "Raging Loop", I feel extremely stupid for not immediately recognising the connection that belied the choice of Cyndaquill.

Nope, both. Only she was so bland compared to all the other females so no M!Shep would choose her. Well, maybe people who missed the awkward racism of early game Ashley.

Plus, Evenicle 1 was one of mangagamers best selling titles because it also gathered fans outside the hardcore eroge consumer niche on steam after some youtuber shilled it.

I know I'm two weeks late to this, but I just happened to see Sseth's review of this yesterday and was immediately reminded of this discussion (though why people would want to buy the game after that eludes me).

Like Uncle Vlad, it might rise again in a 100 years or so. That being said, I note that Vampire the Masquerade as a whole has an interesting phenomena, as demonstrated by this poll: https://vtmb.fandom.com/f/p/4400000000000019397 Independent is always high, while Sabbat is always low (due to being unplayable without mods). However, the Anarchs were up early in the poll, but then the Camarilla caught up and surpassed them. The image of the romanticized "heroic rebel" is essentially destroyed with the real life rioters in the US. Given that, if the creators decided to keep glorifying the Anarchs over the Camarilla, it would result in an interesting effect where the real-life "rebels" (against the original creators) would actually side with the in-game regulars because the creators keep forcing a glorification of the in-game rebels.

In fact, this is a rather interesting phenomenon in both the US and China. While foreign sex and violence are toned down, such as in the case of Ninja Gaiden, domestic games have even more sex and violence than the foreign games at their most uncensored, such as with Last of Us. I do think that DoA and SamSho are art. Meanwhile, Last of Us 2 is nothing more than a failed attempt at a cash grab, made by a less than mediocre man trying to ride on the coattails of the previous better game. Art is subjective.

You can call Playboy art all you want, but the creators know what they're making and why. DoA didn't put in a tit physics slider because they wanted to make the best fighting game they could. They did it because they like tits. While art is subjective, it's ultimately up to the creator whether their work should be taken seriously or not. If you don't care enough about it being there that you're willing to remove it in order to sell it, then it must not have been that integral to the piece.
