Why does this site have 2 of these threads? (Create-a-Servant threads I mean) Not that I'm complaining but it seems kinda odd.

Nobody quite knows, blame I3uster perhaps?

There are marked differences between the two threads though.

In this thread we argue far more about things than the other one.

In addition, this thread has a higher percentage of mythological heroes than the other one.

There's also a index on the first page, containing links to all the sheets posted in this thread. Which I need to get to updating real soon.

The difference is in the subforum. This thread is in GD, land of debate and e-peen. The other is in FF, a place full of sunshine and hugs.

Nah, it's because humans are lazy. Can't even manage to afford an extra click and three mouse wheel scrolls to check the other section.

I would merge the threads, but you people would be mad and then I'd have to pick what subforum it goes in.

If parts of the Hylian skill don't make sense, it is probably at least partly because I ended up combining 3 skill into 1 in order to create it, so if you want something slightly less confusing I could always edit in the original version of it that had more skills.

    General Information
    :

    True Name: Princess Zelda
    Servant Class: Caster, Archer, Ruler
    Place of Birth: Hyrule
    Age: 18 ~ 20
    Hair Color: Blonde
    Eye Color: Blue
Weapon of Choice: Zelda has often been known to wield a bow, and although she does seem to posses a sword it unknown if she actually has any fencing talent.

    -----

    Status Parameters:

    Strength: C (B)
    Agility: D
    Endurance: E
    Prana: A+ (A+++)
    Luck: B-
    Noble Phantasm:
    Alignment: Lawful Good

    -----

    Initial Servant Skills:

    Territory Creation EX
Zelda has twice created Hyrule, once after the destruction of Demise, and again after a flood had destroyed it and nearly all signs of the kingdom had been wiped away from both the land and memory. At this level Zelda can create Hyrule castle and gradually alter the land around it into the Kingdom of Hyrule. Once activated this skill gains its power from the land and has no additional costs beyond the construction of Hyrule castle itself, as such, this skill will persist even if Zelda is currently in the form of one of her Alter egos although the benefits of this skill are reduced by 2/3 if she is not in her True Form. Within her kingdom the cost of all Zelda's skills and Noble Phantasms cost 1/3 of the prana necessary to activate them, and Zelda regains Prana at triple the rate she normally would.

    Item Creation E+++
By consciously tapping into her Divinity, Zelda can permanently bless weapons and imbue them with enchantments or enhance their abilities.

    Unique Heroic Skills:

Riding C+ [Sealed unless summoned as Archer or Ruler]
Zelda can drive most vehicles with some skill, and fight without reduced combat effectiveness even while the vehicle is in motion.

Hylian (Acts as Divine) A (B)
Zelda is the reincarnation of the goddess Hylia, however Zelda usually rejects this aspect of herself, disapproving of the choices and methods of Hylia to such an extant as to refer to Hylia as, 'her' rather than 'I', creating a separation between herself and her past life, reducing this rank to B. Zelda must consciously activate her divinity in order to increase this rank to A however because of her rejection, this can only be done for a short time. All of the Royal Family are descendent from the mortal incarnation of Hylia. All Hylian people posses pointed ears used to receive special messages from the gods themselves. This also includes the ability to send telepathic messages to other creatures with a rank in Divinity. When this skill is boosted by the Triforce Zelda is able to communicate with anyone regardless of the distance or length of time. When using her Divinity A, this can bypass space and time in order to send messages to other beings with a rank in Divinity. As someone with strong ties to Hylia (Either as an incarnation or a decedent) when Zelda sleeps she will sometimes have premonitions of the future, warning her of future dangers and betrayals.

Seals/Barriers B (A++ with Triforce) [Sealed unless summoned as Caster or Ruler]
Zelda is a skilled sage and can create, and destroy most barriers quickly and with little effort, only barriers and seals of rank A or higher are above her abilities.
When this skill is boosted by the Triforce Zelda is able to create and destroy nearly any barrier with almost no effort at all. At this level Zelda is able to lead others through a powerful ritual in order to seal an enemy into the Sacred Realm. Due to her Divinity, Zelda gains a bonus proportional to her current rank in Divinity when sealing with demonic entities

    Charisma B+
Zelda is a kind and benevolent ruler with a wisdom beyond her years and a deep love towards the people she watches over.

    Light Force B (A++)
A powerful form of life force within all living beings, given to the Minish alongside the Picori Blade, it was essential to the efforts of the legendary Hero of Men during the so-called War of the Bound Chest, enabling him to drive back and lock away an army of evil creatures threatening the land. It was later sealed within Princess Zelda. Due to her rank in Divinity, Zelda gains chance equal to her current rank in divinity to 'purify' the target and return the target to their original form.

This skill increases Zelda's prana by 1 Rank (Bringing it from B+ to A+) [Sealed unless summoned as Caster or Ruler (Begin)] and grants her a myriad of mystical abilities of rank B or higher, including the ability to heal serious physical injuries, with little effort,[Sealed unless summoned as Caster (End)] and to augment her physical attacks with magic (Increase Strength by 1 rank bringing it from D to C).

With the Triforce boosting this ability Zelda's prana is boosted by 2 ranks [Sealed unless summoned as Caster or Ruler (Begin)]and grants her many mystical abilities of rank A+ or higher. Zelda's healing potential is greatly increased allowing her to heal anyone regardless of the cause of their injury, even if they are on the brink of death, however depending on the cause and seriousness of the injury accomplishing this may cost Zelda her life.[Sealed unless summoned as Caster or Ruler (End)] Zelda can now better augment her physical attacks with magic increasing her strength by 2 ranks bringing it from D to B.

    ------------------------------------------------

Personality: Zelda is depicted as a kind and benevolent ruler with a wisdom beyond her years and a deep love towards the people she watches over. She is a caring, graceful and self-sacrificing person. Zelda's wisdom is her most valuable attribute. As a matriarch, it is imperative that she make the wisest decision concerning the fate of Hyrule. She upholds her responsibilities no matter the cost and is always willing to help her friends. Above all, Zelda is known to be a forgiving person even towards those who have harmed her before.

    ------------------------------------------------

    Noble Phantasms:

    Name: Triforce of Wisdom
    Rank: A+++
    Type: Support
    Range: N/A
    Maximum Targets: N/A

Description: This Noble Phantasm embodies the essence of the Goddess of Wisdom, Nayru, the author of law. It imports divine wisdom upon its holder, leading them to make the right decision, making them wiser than any mortal (Grants Revelation A+). The wielder is granted a large increase in their previous mystical abilities(All mystical skills are increased by 2 ranks), negates all mystical abilities not specifically targeting the holder (Magic Resistance EX), and even a resistance against abilities targeting the wielder (Magic Resistance A- cancels any spells bellow Rank A). All items used by the holder will have their Rank increased to A++, if it is above that it will gain a (+) (Zelda was able to use an item that could only naturally go back one day in time, to send the Hero back 7 years)

A portion of the Triforce can be imbued into herself in order to change into one of her alter egos Tetra, a young female pirate, or Sheik, a mysterious warrior. (Each of these persona’s possess their own stats, skills, and Noble Phantasms which will be shown bellow. The only known way to reveal her true form is to have the alter ego come into contact with another piece of the triforce.)

    -----

Name: Light Bow and Arrows [Sealed Unless Summoned a Archer or Ruler]
    Rank: A++
    Type: Anti-Unit
    Range: N/A
    Maximum Targets: N/A

Description: Zelda wields a bow that fires arrows empowered with sacred light that can easily pierce and destroy evil itself, Zelda must charge each arrow before firing, if the Light Arrows aren't charged they will act as normal arrows and cost no almost no mana. Zelda possesses 3 charged light arrows at the beginning of every battle to be used at no extra cost. These (charged) arrows target the enemies existence as opposed to their physical/spiritual form, allowing them to pierce nearly any defence and kill regardless of whether or not the arrow actually stuck a vital part of the enemy, if they were wearing armor, or if the enemy was otherwise unkillable at the time. The (charged) arrows will continue passed the enemy enabling Zelda to hit multiple targets with a single, well aimed shot. If the enemy is struck with this Bow and survives they suffer a 1 rank penalty to a random parameter (per shot taken), and are stunned for a short time., if the enemy manages to block this strike, their defences are damaged, significantly lowering the chance of them being able to use the defences to block another attack.

    -----

    Name: Soul Form
    Rank: B+
    Type: Support/Anti Unit
    Range: N/A
    Maximum Targets: 1

Description: Zelda leaves her physical body and enters something similar to a spirit form, allowing her to fly, but making it impossible to cause or receive damage, and she becomes completely undetectable to anything with a Luck rank lower than B, even to allies. While in this form Zelda can possess stunned or incapacitated enemies, and all of her other skills, parameters, and Noble Phantasms are sealed, to be temporarily replaced with those of the target.. This possession is not detectable unless Zelda does something very conspicuous, (In which case a luck check will be made to determine if the ruse will continue) with a Magic Resistance rating of A or higher the target gains a chance to resist the possession.

Jesus! I never realized how broken Zelda is (that's what I get for not playing a Zelda game since the days of the original GameBoy)! Makes you wonder why she doesn't just smoke Ganon herself.

Alright, I've been trying get myself out of a creative ditch lately, so I decided to challenge myself by creating a group of seven Servants, all hailing from the 19th century: no earlier, and no later, so people who lived mostly in the 19th century but died in the early 20th century (like Queen Victoria) are exempt. I've got a list of their identities and which classes they fit into, but I'll try something here, first.

Which one would you people like to see first? For the next week or so, I'll post one per day. Archer is already known (Napoleon, lol) so I'll sift him from the running, which leaves...

    1. Rider
    2. Caster
    3. Assassin
    4. Berserker
    5. Saber
    6. Lancer

I tried to make most of them rather famous figures, but there are definitely some unexpected contenders in there. I also considered which ones would fit together well, and the general idea of this was a version of the Fourth Holy Grail War, with these Servants replacing the regular seven, with some summoning swaps to make things a little more appropriate.

Hmm, based on the reasons Satehi and GaterJ4wz have put above, I'm also flip-flopping between Caster and Rider. 'Spose I'll go with Caster, just to see what sort of person would be using magic in an otherwise technology-dominant era.

If I may be allowed a guess, I'm thinking Caster's either Madame Helene Blavatsky, the only real mage of the era I can think of, or Lewis Carroll after recalling an older comment of mine.

(If it isn't Carroll I'm thinking of making my own profile for him, though as Saber instead of Caster for the hell of it basically *snicker-snack*)

    Huh.

Well, I might as well post the profile for the Servant I myself wielded in the now-defunct Fate/EXTRA roleplay.

Warning: Blatant Nasuification and various other BS incoming. Strange Tail Girl also happened to be my original muse, so I kinda stole from was inspired by the concept and ran with it from there.

As one who lived in the Age of Gods and experienced a multitude of sorceries as a legendary beast, Lancer has a high rank in Magic Resistance, enough to cancel out the effects of any spell with a chant under three verses.

    ------Personal------

    * Divinity:
    Rank E

This skill is usually a measurement of one's divinity. Even though Lancer has a partially divine heritage, this rank has drastically decreased due to her willingly accepting her true nature as a monster.

    * Mental Pollution:
    Rank B

An acquired trait indicative of mental instability, Lancer's manifests as intense sociopathy and selfishness. As a result of her nature Lancer is immune to all but the strongest of mental and psychological interference.

    * Favor of the Water Elementals (Halfblood):
    Rank C+

Lancer is the daughter of a sea god, and has classification as a half-Nereid. The rank of this skill is higher in her default form, although the ranking as a whole has diminished due to her status as a monster. Naturally, the strength of the blessing and the abilities it grants, which manifests as slight increases in luck and greater control over tides and flow of water, grows the closer in proximity Lancer is with the water, hence the + modifier.

    * Monstrous Nature:
    Rank A

Lancer's true form is that of a grotesque and powerful sea serpent. Even in the shape of a human form, Lancer constantly gives off an intense, fearsome aura as a result of her Monster Attribute. This skill essentially grants a Rank B in Monstrous Strength and Transformation and associated perks, allowing her to metamorphosize partially or entirely into a sea monster.

    =NOBLE PHANTASMS=

    * Charybdis - Cutting Bone Blade:
    (anti-unit) Rank C(+)

The name of the large axe that Scylla uses in combat, which qualifies her as a Lancer-class Servant. Charybdis is a long halberd forged from her own tail which she cut off to use as a weapon when not in sea serpent form. It is not a manifestation of her emotions, but serves as a conduit for her more violent, bestial instincts. Because Charybdis was originally a part of Scylla the axe has the very lowest levels of sentience and has a dim self-awareness. In addition, the blade is laced with Scylla's own venom. Depending on how much of her bodily essence, a bloodlike fluid similar with properties similar to prana and one's personal aura, she injects into the axe via the tip of her tail the strength of the poison ranges from being able to cause intense, sensory disruptive hallucinations to causing bodily and spiritual pain on the level of a curse.

    * Charybdis - Wrathful Jagged Maw of the Depths:
    (anti-army/anti-vessel) Rank B

An attack intrinsically linked with the existence of Scylla, activating the latent power housed in the halberd can fire a twisting waterspout at high speeds. The geyser is lined with rocky, jagged teeth that constantly spin with the crushing weight of the churning water and can eviscerate a foe to pieces. When used in a large body of water the halberd may be "let loose" and unconsciously remote controlled through the mental connection it has with Scylla as if the axe has a simplistic mind of its own. In the water the Noble Phantasm instead manifests as a gigantic whirlpool capable of sinking all but the hardiest of ships, and is often used in conjecture with Scylla's sea serpent form. This independent cooperation between Noble Phantasm and wielder is what nurtured the belief that Scylla and Charybdis were two separate entities living mutually together.

    =MYTH=

A beast who stalked the treacherous straits of the Mediterranean in search of hapless prey.

Scylla was born of noble origins as the beautiful daughter of Queen Lamia of Libya and Triton, the messenger god of the sea. Such a union between deity and human would normally result in the birth of a demigod or something comparably similar. Queen Lamia, however, was no ordinary human; she had thick demonic blood running through her veins, and this trait was passed on to her daughter.

Even though she was a part human, part water elemental demonic half-breed, Princess Scylla lived happily as the kind, beloved and popular pride and joy of Lamia's family. Her peaceful life was ultimately cut short -- as it often happens to those with demonic or half-divine lineages, to say nothing of both -- when she found herself a target of ire of the sorceress Circe.

The sea god Glaucus had fallen deeply in love with Scylla, to the point of dangerously infatuated, unbridled lust. Scylla in turn rejected Glaucus' advances and fled from him to the safety of the land, and Glaucus, full of despair, went to Circe for aid in the hopes of convincing her to create a love potion for him to win over Scylla. But Circe instead fell in love with Glaucus, an unrequited love because he only had eyes for Scylla. Circe then promptly took out her revenge on Scylla, by cursing her with these words:

"Know the chaotic, maddening feelings you instill in the hearts of others, know it as the worst you have never known before. Lose yourself in these feelings and countless others, become a vile laughing parody of the pure and innocent maiden you once were as you grow intimate with your true nature lurking within."

That was the day when Scylla's peaceful life ended.

Circe's curse tipped the delicate balance of bloodlines coursing within Scylla's veins, Scylla's demonic lineage overtook her and she underwent a radical mutation. That day on Scylla resembled nothing less than a vile sea demon.

Scylla's appearance was not the only thing that changed that day. Her mindset too drastically altered as a result of Circe's curse. She was a wellspring of overwhelming emotions taken to destructive extremes. Happiness, sadness, resentment, lust, rage, desire, confusion, all that and more surged through her damaged psyche uncontrollably. But...Scylla was not horrified by her new appearance, nor was she frightened by her newfound uninhibited outlook on life. As Circe's curse foretold, Scylla relished in the incomparably exhilarating liberation that she felt from her tumultuous emotions like a zealous convert to a brand new faith.

Though she was exhilarated with her new life, Scylla nevertheless harbored a grudge against Circe and always sought ways to seek vengeance on her. Throughout it all, Scylla became a true monster and indulged herself in her impulses by ravaging ships traveling to and from portside cities until she restrained herself for the sake of self-preservation by cutting off her own tail -- which grew back quickly -- and forging from it a semi-sentient demonic halberd that she used as a conduit to channel her feelings into raw, destructive force.

Scylla had an illustrious life as the infamous terror of the Mediterranean, including an especially famous run-in with Odysseus, one of the Greek heroes of the Trojan War. His connections with Circe coerced Scylla into devouring several of his crewmen as a roundabout way of taking revenge on the sorceress.

In the end, however, Scylla finally met her untimely demise at the hands of none other than Herakles himself when he killed her, almost as an afterthought, while on one of his many adventures.

As an aside, the tragic loss of Scylla set off Queen Lamia's own fall, an inversion to a state not entirely dissimilar to that of the Crimson Red Vermillion phenomenon.

    APPEARANCE/PERSONALITY:

only without as much Useless MeatTM. Wears a regal looking but modified-for-mobility-in-combat high cut robe dress with black and magenta hues as per NASUCLOTHES traditions.

Scylla is armed with a long double-bladed halberd a little over two and a half meters in length. The pole is erratically twisted and knotted, but ultimately straight and certainly a solid weapon. It is dyed to look like a normal steel axe, even though the blades are bright crimson in color, like they are carved from petrified blood.

In her iconic sea serpent form Scylla has twelve lengthy serpentine necks, with lupine heads whose jaws are filled with double-rows of razor sharp teeth, with four eyes to each head. Numerous tentaclelike legs sprout from her long and scaly reptilian body. Can be on land as well as in the water, though this form obviously benefits from great advantages when in the water due to greater range in mobility.

Scylla is a free-willed woman who, despite her potent emotional control, enjoys fully giving herself over to her emotions and lusts. Has a cruel, hateful streak. She's more impulsive than she is manipulative, but rarely plays the fool. She's much less reasonable when she's a sea monster, though. Especially does not like Circe or Herakles.

...yup, this charming woman was my baby for Heaven's Cage. I miss me that RP.

McJon01: We all know that the real reason Archer would lose to Rider is because the events of his own Holy Grail War left him with a particular weakness toward "older sister" types.
My Fanfics. Read 'em. Or not.

Just remember, no Americans or Asians allowed! Nasu's rules!

Well, then, you guys basically picked the most oddball of the Servants to see first! She's one of my favourites, and her entire personality is right on the spot with the historical figure in question. I'm not even kidding about the cheese. Oh, and the magic is pretty on-the-spot, too. You can read her books on philosophy, and they have tons of crazy things like that. I couldn't pass up making that into some sort of steampunk magic hybrid thing.

    Servant: Charlotte Babbage
    Class: Caster
    Gender: Female
    Era: 1791-1871

Background: A brilliant mathematician, inventor and philosopher of the 19th century, best known for creating the first model of a modern computer, a century before the machines would ever see widespread success.

She was born to a rather well-off English family, who could easily afford to grant her the best tutors and elementary education available in the era. However, due to fears about her poor health, Charlotte was confined to less stimulating centres of learning, as too much mental effort was thought to only bring harm to people of her condition. These same health issues caused her to seek private tutors rather than enrolling in actual schools, but she made the best of what she was given, and it was then in the small Holmwood Academy library that she gained a love for mathematics that would span her entire life.

She so voraciously consumed tomes on the subject, and advanced her studies so greatly, that very soon Charlotte was counted amongst the greatest mathematicians in all of Britain, and very few could keep up with her knowledge.

The primary outlet for her creative and mechanical skills became the idea of computing mathematical functions not through human effort but through machines, which in her era were rising in all fields to replace raw manpower. She constructed theories about calculating engines that were more reliable than humans and could perform their jobs more quickly, and even made some models powered by steam and other methods that helped make her dreams seem almost like a reality even to others.

With the promise of her Difference Engine, the British government offered thousands of pounds in funding for an official project, as the task of computing by hand was expensive and required many man hours, which the Difference Engine stood to fix. Pushed on more by her own curiosity, Charlotte used the funds in an attempt to bring her Difference Engine from a mere concept to reality. But, even with nearly twenty thousand pounds invested in the project, there was little progress in its construction.

Unlike Charlotte, who operated on sheer curiosity and wonder at the marvels of engineering and mathematics, the British government wanted economical results, and when Charlotte could not achieve that, funding was ceased.

She became acquainted with the noted Lady Ada Lovelace, the “Enchantress of Numbers” with a surprising understanding not only of maths, but of computers.

Ada helped Charlotte with her Difference Engine, supplying critical notes in its design process, but she ultimately died young, and was unable to see what further plans the wild mind of Charlotte Babbage had in store.

In the later stages of the Difference Engine's officially funded creation, Charlotte's ever-inquisitive mind moved her to work on the more complex, more expensive, and grander Analytical Engine, which stood to improve on every facet of the earlier Difference Engine. However, the end of her life came too soon, and Charlotte never realized the potential that her great computing engines could have reached.

More relevant to her summoning as a Servant – of the Caster class, no less – is an element of her personality and interests that came up while she was studying mathematics: the other area of her expertise, philosophy.

Various forms of mysticism and philosophical thought strangely appealed to Charlotte, and she began creating her own philosophical viewpoints and ideas, based heavily in mathematical ideas. While she loved the supernatural and the mystical, she never quite realized that what she had stumbled on – described thoroughly on her books on philosophy – was actually the basis for orthodox magecraft, made phenomenally efficient through the addition of mathematical ideas and concepts. She often had dreams of otherworldly, supernatural and very strange occurrences, and upon further thought she applied analytical and mathematical reasoning to these visions, working heavily with numbers and coming to conclusions including the idea that Gloucester cheese is, in fact, a magical creation, of which she rationalized to a great and almost frightening degree.

She is a strangely untrained master of the magical arts, believing that her mystical skills are functions of maths, rather than being pure magecraft. It is through this that she infuses her designs and inventions with “pseudo-magecraft” with the same end result as any magus, but with a long and convoluted method of getting to that end.

Though at first she may seem like an aloof and even cold girl, but when she gets involved with mathematics or inventing, she becomes easily excitable and very cheerful.

She has a fascination with modern technology, and likes taking apart various technological devices to study their workings, and then apply that knowledge to her own thoughts and designs. She has a number of strange irritations, though – including poor people, street musicians and children's games – but also has unusual fixations, like her adoration of Gloucester cheese and her often incomprehensible ideas on mathematics. She doesn't take stupid question very well, though, having received too many about her magnificent Difference Engine.

It's unknown why she's a girl, rather than the man she should more properly be.

Appearance: An elegant young lady dressed in the finest vestments of her era, with pale skin and a light frame from living a life of cloistered education and study rather than physical work. She likes to wear fine jewelry, as well as cultivated garden flowers – by no means would she ever wish to appear like a commoner, and she makes it a firm priority to keep up her good looks.

    Class Skills:

    Item Construction – C+

    • Caster is capable of creating simple pseudo-magical items, but her speciality is in the construction of mechanical devices, which she does with remarkable speed and skill.

    Territory Creation – B

    • The creation of a “workshop” is possible, wherein Caster receives bonuses to her pseudo-magical abilities and can deploy her Noble Phantasm.

    Personal Skills:

    Mathematics – A

    • An understanding and ability to learn within the field of mathematics. It's unknown what purpose this skill might have, but Caster seems to make a lot of it.

    Dream Seer – D+

    • The unusual talent to be able to predict events and formulate ideas during dreaming. Caster is not specialized in this, and it's more of a one-off quirk for her; however, when it comes to machines and high mathematics she can become almost an oracle with this skill.

    Noble Phantasm(s):

Analytical EngineKeen Intelligence of the Scientific StudyB
    Support

The legendary computing machine theorized and partially completed by Charlotte Babbage, but never fully imagined. It was dreamed to surpass the earlier Difference Engine also created by Babbage, and it was because of her new-found obsession with the Analytical Engine that the earlier machine lost prevalence in her mind. If built, its capabilities as a computer could be compared to those of a modern calculator, perhaps made better with the application of thought and rigorous trial.

In order to utilize this powerful creation, Babbage must first have created a Workshop, and only then can she summon the Analytical Engine to aid her.

The existence of this machine allows Babbage to create larger numbers of mechanical devices at a more rapid pace, and the prana cost for all actions is cut in half, making her efficiency far greater than it could ever be normally. The applications of the Analytical Engine are innumerable, but it's likely that Babbage will never be perfectly happy with her creation and will always want to make something better, especially if she gets a hold of modern computers and technology.

    Stats:

    Strength - E
    Agility - C
    Magic - B
    Luck - B
    Endurance – E

    --------------------------

Now, the reason why she's a woman is because "Charlotte Babbage" is actually just Ada Lovelace, Charles' assistant, taking on the role of her mentor. With all the personality quirks and fun history that entails, too. I guess the idea is sort of like Charles being the one who died early, and Ada took over his work, becoming a perfect imitation of him or something. Because it's far more fun this way. :P

I, personally, enjoy having Charles Babbage as a crazy smart, cheese-obsessed girl.
