I was thinking to myself "where did all these Magic swords come from?" As well, I have been watching a lot of Man at Arms: Reforged, so I had become quite interested in the blacksmithing process. So I found the legend of this guy. I took parts from both the Völundarkviša and the Žišrekssaga af Bern, so the lore given may be a bit contradictory. I tried.

Also, some of the weapons Wayland forged turned up in this thread before. Because I wanted to keep things consistent, I stole some of the Noble Phantasms (Curtana and Durendal) from the Bird of Hermes. If you don't like that, sorry about that. I'll change them if you want. I made up my own description for Gram though.

I also moved around the lore and personality sections since I kept giving away Caster's name in the other sections. This will probably be a one-time thing.

    Caster
    The Smith

    Class: Caster
    • Alternate Classes: Saber

    Place of Origin: Scandinavia
Alignment: True Neutral/Neutral Evil (depending on his mood)
    Attribute: Earth
    faceclaim

    Lore:
    Spoiler:
Caster is Wayland, also known by the names of Völundr, Velent, and Wiolant. A smith of most outstanding skill, he is famous for both the strange twists and turns his life took and the legendary swords that he forged.

Born as both a prince of the Finns and the Elves, Wayland lived a quiet life with his brothers Egil and Slagfišr, along with three Valkyries whom they had wedded. Wayland loved his wife, Hervör-Alvitr, very much, but after nine years together, the trio of Valkyries departed, with Wayland's brothers following in tow. In his grief, Wayland forged seven hundred copies of his wife's wedding ring, kick-starting his life as a master smith.

Shortly after, Wayland became a servant in the court of the King of Jutland, Nišung. In a contest with a rival blacksmith Amilias, Wayland forged the first of his legendary swords, Mimung. From then on, his favor with Nišung grew until it was suddenly ended when Nišung refused to give Wayland the promisrd reward for the retrieval of his victory talisman. Wayland was banished, but the king, still desiring his skill, ordered him kidnapped and hamstrung. The lame Wayland was then imprisoned on the island of Sęvarstöš.

For years, Wayland laboured under the king before he took his revenge. Wayland killed the king's sons when they came to visit him, fashioning fine tableware and jewelry from their bones, eyes, and teeth. He also seduced and inpregnated the king's daughter when she too visited him in the smithy. Finally, Wayland managed to escape by calling in a favor from his brother Egil, who was visiting the court of Nišung. Fashioning wings from feathers his brother gathered, he was able to escape his prison, and after gloating before Nišung, he flew away, with Egil faking his brother's death in order to not rouse suspicion. He then vanished from history; some said that he returned home, others say that he fled to parts unknown. The only proof of his continued existence was the legendary swords that were born in his forge and passed into the hands into the heroes of legend.

    Personality:
    Spoiler:
Despite his legacy of forging the weapons of many great heroes of legend, Wayland is by no means a hero himself. He can be selfish and petty, prone to disproportionate retribution, and in general is always out for Number One. The many swords he forged were not directly intended to be passed into the hands of heroes; rather, he made them as tests of skill and works of art. However, he will generally appreciate the use of them by a hero of legend and will not take kindly to their abuse at the hands of the ignorant or malevolent.

His wish to the Grail would be either to heal his legs or to receive the designs of every legendary weapon that ever existed, so that he may copy and even improve on them.

    Miscellaneous:
    Spoiler:
Likes: a job well done, taking vengeance where it is due
    Dislikes: tyrannical employers
    Talents: smithing, especially sword making
Natural Enemy: all of the heroes who wield his swords
Catalyst: any artifact he forged that still survives to the present day (ex: Curtana)

    Parameters:
    Strength: A
    Endurance: D
    Agility: D (B when flying)
    Magic: A
    Luck: C
    Noble Phantasm: E-A++

    Skills
    Spoiler:
    Class Skills:
    • Territory Creation B
Creation of a Workshop specialized for blacksmithing is possible. However, the Workshop is somewhat incomplete; while it is functional for making weapons on its own, it's true potential can only be brought out by the activation of Velents žįttr smišs. Despite these limitations and the time period Wayland hails from, he can also make use of tools such as power hammers, CNC plasma cutters and water jets, automated belt grinders, and other modern metalworking tools, adding them to the Workshop to increase his production speed.
    • Item Construction B+ (Conditionally EX)
Production of devices that carry magic power is possible. As Wayland is a blacksmith, he gains a plus modifier when working with metal. If working inside his Noble Phantasm Velents žįttr smišs, the skill will rise to EX, allowing for the creation of Noble Phantasms. He can also create the requisite materials for any weapon, even if they are impossible to obtain or do not exist in the modern world; so long as he knows what he desires, he can build it.

    Personal Skills:
    • Master of the Forge EX
A skill reserved for smiths, denoting their talent in the shaping of metal. As the creator of myriad swords of legend, Wayland's Rank in this skill is unquantifiable. His skill as a smith cannot be adequately measured in mortal terms, with no project being impossible for him to complete.
    • High-Speed Incantation C
The capacity to recite spells at high speeds. Wayland cannot use the traditional form of this skill; in his case, it represents the ability to imbue magical properties into his weapons within very short spans of time.
    • Instinct D
It is only applicable for the purposes of smithing. When forging swords - even swords of designs he never saw in his lifetime - he will have a "hunch" about the best conditions and methods to build the sword with. However, this instinct is to 100% exact; this skill will not help Wayland appproach a build requiring the precision of Durendal or Gram.
    • Weak Constitution (Hamstrung)
The hamstring tendons in Wayland's legs have been cut. He cannot walk without specialized leg braces. He is a much more effective fighter when airborne.

    Equipment:
    • A set of mechanical wings that allows Wayland to fly around.
    • Leg braces that allow Wayland to walk
    • Mundane weapons that he can forge in his workshop..

    Noble Phantasm:
    Spoiler:
Velents žįttr smišs: Tale of the Legendary Smith (???, E-A+)
While many colorful yarns about the exploits of the Elven prince Wayland survive to this day, his true legacy - and thus his Noble Phantasm - is the products of his blacksmithing. Only deployable within the territory Wayland makes for himself, it sets up within his greater Workshop a forge similar to the finest one Wayland ever worked in during his life. Any work he does within this forge will raise the skill of his Item Construction to EX, allowing the true extent of his smithing skill to shine forth. While on the surface, it merely seems to be a place where Wayland does his work, it is within this environment that he can reproduce the legendary swords that he forged in life. His greatest works are listed below, all of which can be forged within Wayland's workshop and given a second, permanent birth into the world. While he can modify the weapons he makes to give them new attributes, it is generally safer to make them exactly to specification.

    • Mimung: Twice Broken, Twice Reforged (Anti-Unit, C-A)
A sword forged by Wayland in preparation for a scheduled duel with the rival smith Amilias. After an episode in which Wayland had to go and find his lost tools, he forged this sword in the span of a week. The resulting sword was so sharp that even when held still, it could split a piece of wood floating down the river in twain. Wayland was dissatisfied with the result, shattered the blade, and within three days forged from the fragments an even sharper blade that could split a piece of wood two feet thick. Still dissatisfied, he went back and in three hours made a blade that could split a block of wood three feet thick with just the slightest touch. The legend is carried within the blade Mimung that Wayland carries with him. If broken, the sword will automatically repair itself, coming out sharper than before after the repairs. The sword can do this twice, and at its second "rebirth", it can cut through any physical defense with minimal effort. If broken a third time, however, Wayland will have to start from the beginning to make a new Mimung.
    • Caliburn: Golden Sword of the Victorious (Anti-Unit, B, conditionally A)
The sword of selection that became the symbol of King Arthur's right to rule was one of the legendary blades forged by Wayland. As the creator of the sword, he can make modifications to the sword to bypass the requirement of "a proper, perfected king", allowing him to use the sword's full potential. However, use of firepower on the level of Excalibur would cause the sword to break.
    • Almace: That which cuts a hand's breadth deep (Anti-Unit, C)
The sword that would later be passed to Turpin, Archbishop of Reims. Compared to its sister swords Curtana and Durendal, it does not possess much power or renown. While it can shroud itself with True Ether like Curtana, the shroud can only be maintained for a few seconds and is quite weak. It's redeeming qualities are that it is extremely durable and that it takes very little time to forge; as such, this will probably be the first weapon that Wayland will make for himself in a Grail War.
    • Curtana: Sword of Justice (Anti-Unit, A)
The sword that would pass through the hands of Sir Tristan of the Round Table, Ogier the Dane, and Henry III of England. It would then be passed down through the British Royal line to the present day, where it serves as the coronation sword of the British Monarch. It houses a concentrated amount of True Ether and can unleash it. When the sword is activated, the True Ether will shroud the blade allowing it to deliver a vicious blow that can kill almost any foe in a single strike. It will deal extra damage against those with Draconic traits.
    • Durendal: The Peerless Sword (Anti-Unit, A+)
Unlike the other swords that Wayland can summon forth from Velents žįttr smišs, this weapon was not originally crafted by his hands. Rather, it was the result of Wayland's restoration of Durindana, the sword and spear of Hector of Troy. From this blade Wayland also forged the swords Almace and Curtana. It will not lose its sharpness even should its user's Magical Energy be depleted, proving indestructible even when Roland tried to destrroy it. When activated, it gives of a brilliant light the burns away everything it touches. This sword will take the longest for Wayland to make, as he cannot simply repeat the process of forging he performed for all his other swords; rather, he must go back and look upon the notes he took when analyzing Durindana and try to reverse-engineer it from Almace and Curtana.
    • Gram: Demonic Sword of the Sun (Anti-Fortress, A++)
Wayland's greatest creation, which he was never able to replicate in his life. As such, he will only be able to reproduce it under perfect conditions. He must use exactly the right steel, shape and bevel it perfectly, perform a flawless heat treatment and tempering, and then construct the hilt with the same materials as he did the first time. Only then will he be able to call forth Gram, the sword of Sigmund and Sigurd. The "strongest demonic sword" that rivals the "strongest holy sword", it contains a strong "dragon slayer" property. As Gram was the model for the sword Caliburn and the origin of the sword Balmung, it possesses similar abilities to both, but with far greater durability and power. Within the blade, True Ether from the Age of the Gods is stored, allowing for the use of a single Anti-Fortress attack without depleting the user's Mana supply. From that usage until the blade recharges itself, the user's own magical energy becomes the fuel for the sword.

    ---RIDER---
    - Pecos Bill -
    Alignment: Chaotic Good
    ====================
    Strength: B
    Endurance: B
    Agility: A
    Mana: E
    Luck: A
    Noble Phantasm: A+

    ====================
    Character details
    Likes: Howling at the moon
Dislikes: Her horse when he's cockblocking
Talents: Sharpshooting, wooing guys & gals
    Natural Enemy: Widowmaker

    Class Skills \
    ~ Magic Resistance: [D]
A Servant's resistance to magic and other thaumaturgical effects. At D-rank, spells of two-verses or lower are instantly nullified.

    ~ Riding: [B+++]
A Servant's skill at riding mounts and vehicles. At A-rank, Rider can ride most things with great skills, but lacks the capacity to mount phantasmal beasts. She can, however, ride things one would not normally consider mounts at all. Cyclones being one example.

    Personal Skills \

    ~ Feral Nature: [A]
A unique skill that denotes a Servant's beastial nature. While Rider was still a babe, she had already begun to show such tendencies; teething on her father's bowie knife, and using those same dentures to regularly bite into the family cattle. During her childhood, she was separated from her family as a child and discovered by an giant momma coyote, who then raised her as one its own. Even after her older brother found her several years later and brought Rider back to civilization, her heart and soul remained that of a beast. Every so often still, she howls at the moon with the other coyotes.

Rider possesses the senses and instincts of wild animal, as well as the ability to aptly communicate with them. Essentially, the skill grants her equivalent ranks in [Instinct] and [Animal Dialogue].

    ~ Marksmanship: [EX]
Any cowboy worth the spurs on his boots knew that there wasn't a sharpshooter in the Wild West with enough trigger discipline to outgun Rider. It wasn't that she was as quick on the draw as Billy the Kid, or that could loose enough bullets faster than Calamity Jane; Rider could shoot "beyond" what an average bullet should even be able to hit. She could even shoot down stars. Attempting to dodge Rider's shots through ordinary means is impossible.

~ Guidance From the Lone Star: [---]
The feat in which Rider shot down all the stars in the sky is among her most famous. Though there was one that she left - the brightest and loneliest. As a show of gratitude for sparing it, the star always makes itself visible to Rider at night regardless of the forecast to guide her to her goal. The Lone Star keeps its presence hidden from anyone besides Rider.

    Noble Phantasms \
Widowmaker -Ghost Prince of the Prairie-
[Support] B (Range: NA Target: NA)
Bill's horse. The hardiest and fastest stallion to ever stride across the Frontier prairies, most people only saw his afterimage. This, along with his white shade, earned him the name Ghost Prince of the Prairie. While Widowmaker is in the middle of his stride, he and his rider become transparent and unable to be touched by people or objects in the material world. This allows Bill to charge through enemy attacks unscathed. Being transparent however, she also lacks the ability to counterattack.

Widowmaker does not allow anyone but Bill to ride him. While this is not especially uncommon for mounts, Widowmaker is a unique case. He shows aggression to anyone who tries to get close to Bill. Even Bill's Master could end up underneath Widowmaker's hooves if they get too familiar with her.

White Mustang -With This Bolt, No Mystery Goes Untamed-
    [Anti-Unit] A (Range: ??? Target: 1 Person)
Bill's lasso, made completely out of white lightning. While she was chasing the demon cyclone that once terrorized the plains, a bolt of lighting struck down beside her and Widowmaker. Bill reached out her hand and grabbed it, letting it take a familiar form in her hand - a lasso. It was with this lasso, which expanded to the width of the cyclone and clamped tight around it, that she was able to wrangle the turbulent winds and force it to the ground with impact powerful enough to form what is now known as Death Valley.

White Mustang possesses the ability to capture phenomena. If used at the right moment, Bill can even capture others' Noble Phantasms, though they return to their owners after use. In a sense, it could be thought of as an [Anti-Noble Phantasm] Noble Phantasm.

Starbreaker -Shot the Gun, Then There Were None-
    [Anti-Army] A+ (Range: EX Target: 200 People)
When Bill met a lovely gal that she wished to woo, she drew her pistols and shot down every star in sky, save the one that would from then be known as the Lone Star. Now, obviously, even the most daft of cowboys would know Bill's bullets couldn't literally reach a star, and so did Bill herself. This is why she didn't aim for the stars that trillions of miles away, sitting in middle of deep space. She just aimed at the "stars in the sky." This is what it means to shoot "beyond" what a bullet should reach. It is never a matter of distance when it comes to Bill's marksmanship, only what she wishes to shoot. She wanted to shoot the "stars in the sky," thus shooting down stars became possible. It could be thought of as the ultimate trick shot.

Her bullets always reaching their target regardless of how impossible the shot actually is, Bill will fire six shots with enough firepower to light up the sky, just like the stars she shot down from it.

There is one requisite for this Noble Phantasm. A "grand purpose" for which Bill is willing to put her life on the line for must be introduced. The "grand purpose" in question can be anything from saving her Master's life, to Bill trying to woo a dashing guy or gal. Really, Bill's perspective is all that matters.

    Lore
Rider's true name is Pecos Bill, an icon of the American Frontier.

Everything about her was meant to be larger than life. She was toughest cowboy in the west, capable of defeating entire brigands of outlaws on her own. She was greatest sharpshooter to ever live, capable of shooting stars out of the sky. She was every woman's dream, getting married dozens of times over before she died. She made nature itself submit to her, beating mountain lions half to death with rattlesnakes and wrestling cyclones to the ground. She was the innovator who created branding irons for distinguishing cattle, and fence posts for fencing them in.

Pecos Bill embodied the Wild West, and tales that portrayed her often made her come off as invincible. Which begs the question: just what kind of death did this western legend have? It was on a late night in Texas. Bill was walking the streets when a cowboy from Boston approached her. No... perhaps cowboy "enthusiast" would be a better name. Recognizing who she was, he began asking Bill if she thought he was ready for the Wild West. Bill took one look at this doughy-faced Boston man and his silly gator-skinned attire, barreled over laughing, and didn't stop laughing until she unable to anymore.

So concluded the legend of Pecos Bill.

Well, fancy seeing an American Frontier hero around these parts. *Stereotypical wild west accent*

Seriously though, I love and I mean love, love, love this sheet. The genderbend is perfect, personal Skills are creative and fit her well and her NPs are downright awesome. White Mustang sounds like it'd have a lot of flashy uses (like grabbing elemental magic out of the air and flinging it back at the caster, or snatching enemy NPs out of their hands). Starbreaker is scarily powerful.

She seems like a very powerful Servant, though it's fitting given the ludicrous feats in Frontier mythology. Wrangling a cyclone, carving out a canyon with one's bare hands and shooting out all the stars in the sky are all just everyday feats for a hero of the ol' American west! If anything, she's probably considerably toned down from how the figure was presented in folktales. Old Frontier OP, please nerf.

Congrats on Pecos Bill, buddy. You've crafted an awesomely hilarious and powerful Servant that could rival Kamina in sheer badassery. (Do the impossible, shoot the unshootable, row wow fight dah powah!)

Damn, now you make me want to write up an Old West folklore hero myself. (Maybe Paul Bunyan?)

    Servant Caster:

    True Name: John The Conquerer

    Alignment
    : Chaotic Good

    Alternate Class: Rider

    Summoning Catalyst: The eponymous root

    Strength- D
    Agility- C+
    Endurance- D
    Mana- A+
    Luck- A+
    NP- B+

    Appearance:

Personality: A laid-back, easygoing individual. Caster loves to laugh and can find amusement in even the most trivial of situations. This lazy joviality masks a sharp intelligence and incredibly cunning mind. Caster does not regard his Master in the Grail War with any authority and will openly flaunt their commands to do whatever he pleases. Unlike some though, he will not go out of his way to hold any ill-will to his Master either and will likely develop a friendly relationship with them if possible. Having no particular wish, he will accept summoning simply out of curiosity for the modern world and the Grail.

Likes: mischief, outsmarting masters, his wife Lilith
Dislikes: slavery, cruel masters, overly serious people
Talent: finding his way out of any situation
    Natural Enemy: the Devil

    Class Skills:

Territory Creation (C)- Due to his wandering mindset not being suited for it, Caster has difficulties creating even a Workshop.

Item Construction (A)- Can craft potions of limited immortality, as well as other powerful wards and talismans.

    Personal Skills:

Obeah (A+)- Otherwise known as 'Hoodoo', a form of African folk magic practiced by slaves in the American South. It can be used for cursing, conjuring up nature spirits, protection from evils, shapeshifting and so forth.

Nature Of A Rebellious Spirit (C)- The temperament to never remain at one location and never embrace a lord. A wandering star that does not have the capacity to be king nor is capable of finding one's own king. Negates the effects of Charisma with the same rank. Though Caster served around various masters throughout his life, he always outsmarted them in the end and his spirit was never once broken.

Trickster (EX)- Connotes one revered as a trickster spirit or deity. At this rank, it allows Caster to completely fictionalize his identity, Class and parameters even to his own Master. However, it is dispelled should his True Name be revealed.

Eye Of The Mind (True) (A)- A heightened capacity for observation, refined through experience. Allows for calm analysis of battle situation and conclusion of action during a tight spot through "theory of battle". With this Skill, Caster can think his way out of nearly any predicament, so long as the chance of success does not fall below on 1%. No matter what situation Caster found himself, he always found a way out through a mixture of wits, magical prowess and sheer audacity.

    Noble Phantasms:

Lilith's Gifts - Plowing The Field In A Day (B, Support): When Caster asked for marriage from the Devil's daughter, Lilith, he was set with a number of impossible tasks from her father. One of these being to clear sixty acres of field in half a day, then sow it with corn and reap it in the other half of the day. Lilith secretly furnished Caster with a magical plow and axe, such that he would complete this otherwise impossible task, but warned him that the Devil planned to kill him regardless if he should succeed or fail.

The plow and axe together make up one of Caster's Noble Phantasms. Though unremarkable looking, they are very powerful (each equal to a rank 'B' Noble Phantasm) and near-totally indestructible. Also, deriving from the legend where Caster used them to plow and sow a field in impossibly short time, the tools have gained the conceptual property of 'halving duration'.

The amount of time needed for Caster to perform any given action will be precisely halved so long as he has these tools in his possession. This is not through boosting his speed but a conceptual effect reducing the amount of time that needs to be covered to half of what it would normally be. This includes spellcasting as well by the way, giving Caster the equivalent of High-Speed Incantation at rank C. It even goes as far as letting him heal from wounds at twice the pace.

This effect only applies so long as Caster has both tools in his possession. If even one of them is lost, the remaining one will still qualify as a Noble Phantasm but will no longer possess any special attributes beyond durability.

Devil's Horse- The Great Escape (B+, Support): Knowing the the Devil planned to kill Caster even if he completed his tasks, he and Lilith decide to escape. They steal one of the Devil's own horses and ride off under cover of night. The Devil pursues the duo, but they escape his clutches through shapeshifting.

This horse is Caster's secondary Noble Phantasm. A peerless demonic steed fit for the Devil himself; charcoal black, wreathed in shadow and sporting a mane of roiling flames. Caster will not be harmed by these flames, though they can still burn anyone else trying foolishly to mount the horse. It can easily reach speeds up to Mach 3 at full gallop, trampling over the terrain while leaving in its wake a landscape of molten slag and flames reminiscent of Hell. Just gazing at such a fiercesome horse is enough to give even a hardened warrior pause, while riding it Caster gains the equivalent of Dread Visage at rank C. When attached to his plow, the 'duration-halving' property of that Noble Phantasm will apply to the steed as well.

Caster can summon his mount into the World at any time, though, as he is not a Rider Class Servant, his control over it is more limited then in that Class.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So after seeing the Pecos Bill sheet above, I looked around for my own American folklore hero to do. This guy in particular caught my fancy, particularly given the general lack of African Heroic Spirits in this thread (and elsewhere). Since the African language he would've spoken seems to have been lost to time, I couldn't come up with any fancy foreign names for his Noble Phantasms so I just settled with descriptive titles instead. If anyone knowledgeable in African dialects wants to suggest anything cooler they're free to, though.

I had an Archer- Belisarius sheet in the works too which is around halfway complete but progress on that has ground to a halt as of late since I haven't come up with any good ideas for his 'Last Roman' NP. Well, ZSB gave a good one but then I'd have to come up with creative, NP-worthy effects for all (roughly) 14 of the Last Romans which is... kind of a lot...

As always, be sure to drop by with comments and criticisms! (And some pointers on Belisarius wouldn't hurt either...)

Thanks for the comments on Roland Alter a page back, I've reworked the Noble Phantasms to something less generic (and more grossly powerful akin to the Gae Bolg...) If anyone else has anything to say that would be great

Anyways, time for words about things:

Wayland: Its ok that you used my descriptions as you gave me credit so don't worry about that. As a smith it's expected that he would make Noble Phantasms but you've out in a description for each one which is great stuff. Clearly a lot of thought has gone in here. The only thing I would change it the Weak Constitution description would be to say that as a result his Agility parameter has been reduced.

Pecos Bill: "It's High Noon..." But seriously, the skills are creative and the personality of the servant is an absolute delight. The fact you have the cockblocking horse as the natural enemy is outright hilarious.

John the Conqueror: Not... a genderbend? Who are you and what have you done with Royd?! But seriously, actual feedback. I don't see Eye of the Mind being all that relevant as it's not exactly a skill used by Casters. You could just add to Trickster and say he can think of anyway to keep up his false identity. Given Devils Horse as an NP though... maybe John is more suited to being a Rider? You could reduce Obeah to B and say it's a result of his class summoning.

    STR: B

    AGI: D
    MGI: C

    Class Skills
    Territory Creation: EX
The ability to create a territory advantageous to a magus. Caster is capable of creating a “Forge of the Dwarven Blacksmith,” which allows for the creation of powerful armaments worthy of being used by the gods themselves.

    Item Creation: A
The ability to create magical items. As the one who forged the weapons of the gods, Caster is capable of creating extremely powerful weapons. The weapons formed by Caster have the power of a B or A rank noble phantasm, depending on if he has the time and mana source necessary for the stronger strength weapons.

    Personal Skills
    Hardened Body: A
A skill attained when one has been raised in a harsh environment. As a blacksmith raised in the fiery forges of Asgard, and dealing with constantly changing temperatures, Caster has become able to survive in any harsh environment.

    Blacksmith’s Eye: A
The ability to trace the origins of weapons and armor. As one of the blacksmiths of Asgard, Caster is able look at a weapon and tell where it was created, and for what purpose. It makes it easier for Caster to tell an opponent’s true identity by looking at their weapons and armor, especially for heroes with legendary items such as Excalibur.

    Dwarven Magic: B/C

The magic of the dwarf race. An ancient form of magic that dwarves used to imbue magical energy into objects. This skill is stronger when used against heroes outside of Norse history and mythology, as many of them have never experienced the magic of the dwarves. Against Norse heroes, their magic is not as potent.

    Noble Phantasms
    The Blacksmith’s Hammer: C
An ancient hammer, worn over centuries of use. This hammer is imbued with magic that gives his creations their power. While it can be used as a weapon, it is not that special, as it was not made with battle in mind.

    The Blacksmith’s Bellows: B
A large bellow that was used in the creation of legendary items. This massive bellow was used by Caster during the creation of Mjolnir. The bellow is capable of creating winds strong enough to control the magic in the giant dwarven forge. Caster can use this bellow as a powerful air cannon, firing shots of concentrated winds with the strength of a missile.

The Forge of the Dwarven Blacksmith – He Who Forged the Armory of the Gods: EX
It was in the ancient dwarven forges that Caster created some of the most powerful weapons of the gods with his brother Eitri. Among them was Mjolnir, the sacred hammer wielded by Thor himself. Caster was so proud of his brother's skill in life that he would boast that their weapons were stronger than even Odin’s spear Gungir. When this noble phantasm is invoked, Caster creates the forge in which he created the weapons and armors he created in life. This forge serves as his territory, and while in it, he can create any number of weapons and armor. While in the forge he has access to any materials he wants to create, so long as he has mana. The more precious the material, the more mana he needs to produce it. This area is also powered by a furnace fueled by ancient magical fire. The fire burns with such heat that nobody other than the dwarves could survive in close proximity. The heat from the fire permeates the area and causes all weapons and armor other than those forged by Caster to suffer a rank down in effectiveness.

    Lore
Brokkr is one of the dwarf brothers who forged the legendary weapons of the Norse gods. Of note, he helped his brother in the creation of the boar Gullinbursti, the golden ring Draupnir, and the legendary hammer of Thor, Mjolnir. Brokkr was proud of the work he and his brother did, and made a bet with Loki, brother of Odin, that they could create items greater than even Gungnir. When forging Mjolnir, Loki transformed into a gadfly and bit Brokkr’s eye, causing him to stop working the bellows for a second. As a result, Mjolnir came out with a shorter handle, forcing Brokkr to create iron gauntlets for Thor so he could wield the hammer properly. Despite this mistake, Thor told Brokkr that the hammer was the perfect weapon, and he won the bet with Loki. For his reward, he was to take Loki’s head, but Odin would not allow this. Instead, Brokkr sewed Loki’s mouth shut with magic thread, forcing Loki to undo the bindings before he could speak again.

Most of the time Brokkr is a jolly fellow, willing to drink and speak with his master like a friend. When he is in his forge, he becomes serious and is quick to anger if he is disturbed. He will not tolerate a rude master, and may even sew his master’s mouth shut if he finds them too annoying. Unlike other Casters, Brokkr is ready to fight on the front lines, for he is a warrior of Valhalla above all else. His wish for the grail is to have another chance at forging Mjolnir, as he felt that if not disturbed by Loki, Mjolnir would have been an even greater weapon.

Been a while since I last made a servant sheet! I've always wanted to make a hero who was from a more fantastical race, but a lot of them are too modern to really make for a war. I really like dwarfs in fantasy stories, so I was really happy to find a mythological dwarf that had enough to him to make into a servant. My idea for him was to make a tanky servant who could turn the tables on heroes who relied on legendary weapons and armor. So he could stand up against Excalibur or damage Karna through his armor, since lore wise, they would be inferior to his creations, like with his bet with Loki. Heroes who didn't use things like that (like Billy the Kid or Nikola Tesla) wouldn't be as harshly effected since they weren't defined by a specific weapon like Arturia is. He may be a little physically powerful for a caster, but I couldn't really think of anything else that a legendary blacksmith could be, so unless Armorer becomes a class, Caster he is!

Also wanted to comment on the other servants here. I really like how we got some more American folklore here. Fate sees so many European heroes, so some variety is cool to see. Pecos Bill is great, I considered making one of him myself at one point. All her noble phantasms seemed really cool and unique. I love the personality you gave her, I kinda got tired of all the cuter/sexier designs most female servants got in FGO, so all together I think you did a great job!

John seems really cool too, especially with his noble phatasms. And don't worry about the names. I made a Sundiata sheet a while back and I couldn't be bothered to learn old Mali to create fancy names, and I certainly couldn't be asked to learn dwarf for this sheet XD.

EDIT: Thought I could go without mentioning it, but "IT'S HIGH NOON!"

EDIT 2: Edited to show that he wasn't the sole creator of those weapons, I goofed on that.

Ah well, I figure mine is different enough, though its funny we both went with similar ideas, though mine was more tanky whereas yours was an attacker. I actually had some trouble figuring out who the "creator" of all those items was, since its listed for both of them, but I went with Brokkr since I liked the idea of him using the bellows as a cannon. Looking back at my research, I can see that Eitri has more of a connection to Mjolnir and the other items, so I'll probably change my sheet up a bit to reflect that.

Given Devils Horse as an NP though... maybe John is more suited to being a Rider? You could reduce Obeah to B and say it's a result of his class summoning.
Glad you liked John! I wasn't sure how good he was...

Eye Of The Mind is based off how he always found his way out of any predicament he got in, and always outsmarted all his masters. I think it's a fitting Skill, at least.

I considered making him a Rider, but I've done more then enough of those already so I decided to go with Caster instead. It makes sense anyway since he's more known as a magician/trickster then for riding the Devil's horse specifically (which is a fairly minor part of his legend). He could be summoned in that Class for sure, but he'd probably be weaker overall.

Regarding genderbend... I actually thought of that but decided, since he's fairly obscure already, a genderbend would make him outright unrecognizable. As a policy, I tend to only genderbend heroes that are relatively famous and recognizable as males (or someone like Chrysaor whose legend has been lost to time anyways...). Plus I had the perfectly good Salva (from Dimension W) faceclaim to use.

That and we had Genji show up as Cyborg Kalki 'round here. The question is... Who is next?

Not that I'm complaining though, I love Overwatch.

I hope to play it one day.

Brokkr: well, he's definitely the superior blacksmith compared to Wayland.

It looks like his Territory Creation and his Noble Phantasm overlap. How does the Territory he creates and the Forge he summons differ?

I think Territory Creation is subsumed under his "Forge Of The Dwarven Blacksmith" NP, sort of like Semiramis and her Hanging Gardens.

  16. #15116
Yeah, the forge is like the Hanging Gardens. I put them both in cause they are both in Semiremis' sheet, and it seemed more complete to me.

Well, the one downside to making my own FCs is that, due to my schedule, they take time to make. Ah, well, I can always update them later, but for now I can post the sheet and try to polish it in the meantime. So, this time, I went with an even more local hero for me! Let's see if I managed this one right.
    ===========================================
Lancer [Abdon Calderon] - “El Heroe Nińo”

    Strength
    – D+
    Agility – D+
    Mana – E
    Luck – E
    Endurance – C+
    Noble Phantasm – C
    Cards – BAAAQ

    Magic Resistance – E

    Height/Weight: 156cm・48kg
    Source: Historical Fact
    Region:
    Ecuador
    Alignment: Neutral Good
    Gender: Male
Although he is eighteen-years-old, his appearance looks much more youthful due to popular misconception.

A young soldier hailed as a hero by many Ecuadorians for his bravery and sacrifice during the Battle of Pichincha, called “El Heroe Nińo” [Boy Hero]. Although recorded by history for his various achievements during the Ecuadorian liberation campaign, several embellishments made about his famous last stand have shaped his legend as a Heroic Spirit.

Born to a prestigious family, his father joined the uprising against the Spanish rule, and was executed as a result. Their properties and goods confiscated, his mother soon died in poverty, leaving the young Abdon to fend for himself. He managed to continue his studies until the age of eighteen, when he joined the newly formed Revolutionary Army.

Driven by patriotic fervor, he gave his all during the following campaigns and battles, reaching the rank of Sub Lieutenant under Colonel Salazar. Either in victory or defeat, he was present for almost every following conflict during the fight for independence, turning him into a hardened veteran despite his age.

He met his end during the decisive Battle of Pichincha. Hoisting the flag of the revolution as he led his battalion, he was mortally wounded by cannon fire, refusing to leave the fight even as his limbs were blown off one by one, keeping the flag high with his teeth until the battle was over. Of course, reality was much different, with Calderon instead receiving four wounds and having to be forcefully removed from the battlefield, dying several days later in the hospital.

Although he was remembered and honored for his bravery and heroism even in the face of mortal danger, it was the story of the superhuman soldier hoisting his flag that was kept in the consciousness of the Ecuadorian public. Abdon is fully aware of this, but is willing to accept it so as to remain a symbol of hope for his people.

    Skills

    Rally Morale (C)
The ability to inspire and maintain a high morale on one’s allies or subordinates. It requires a certain charismatic nature to keep others motivated and willing, but this skill can also be used as a form of self-suggestion, reducing the chances of mental interference.

As the myth goes, Abdon’s unrivaled bravery and strong will, refusing to retreat even as he endured enemy fired, was enough to inspire his troops to continue the fight, always keeping the flag high.

    Battle Continuation (A)
The strength of vitality for predicaments. Also, the ability to withdraw from combat and reach allied territory alive after being defeated. At this rank, it’s possible to fight even with deadly injuries and can remain alive so long as one does not receive a decisive fatal wound.

Abdon’s greatest claim to fame was his incredible last stand, able to endure having his limbs blown off, showered by bullets, cannon fire, and others depending on the version of the myth, only dying after the battle was over. This idea has become synonymous enough with Abdon to grant him this skill.

Noble Phantasm: Heroe Nińo – For My Flag, For My Country
    Rank: C
    Type: Anti-Unit (Self)
    Card Type: Arts
The crystallization of Abdon’s famous last stand during the Battle of Pichincha. Despite the most well-known retelling of the event being the embellished version and its derivatives, it’s these same distortions of his legend that grant him this Noble Phantasm.

By calling on its name and hoisting his flag, Abdon’s Strength, Agility and Endurance stats are all increased to a superhuman degree, allowing the normally underpowered Abdon to come toe-to-toe against much stronger opponents. These stat increases are permanent, and the effects of this Noble Phantasm will remain active until the battle is over and the Servant “achieves victory”, as per the story.

However, once a condition of victory has been achieved, the strain to Abdon’s body will cause him to fade away. Such condition can be anything from killing the enemy Servant, to forcing them to retreat, to simply defeating them in combat. As such, this Noble Phantasm is to be used only as a last resort, or rather, it is a last stand by the Servant to give his Master one more chance to achieve the Grail.

Perhaps this Noble Phantasm is in itself a self-suggestion by Abdon, who knows his legend is a lie, and yet embraces it in order to become a symbol of hope for his allies.
    ===========================================

Yeah, this idea was pretty much born from the NP. Fun fact: while planning the NP I thought of it, in FGO terms, as "Stella 2.0". No guesses as to why.

The Rally Morale skill seems like a combination of Bravery and Charisma. This is good, the skills can get used together a lot and you found a decent half way point between the two to add some unique flavour. Battle Continuation is likewise fitting given his legend as well. As for his Noble Phantasm goes, how strong does he get? Is it just a rank up or boosted to A or something?

Also I realise I've made no Spanish servants as of yet. I would fix this but honestly the only one I can think of is El Cid. And he's been done a lot lately.

The NP works like a rank-up; it's the reason the respective stats have a plus modifier, they're basically doubled. I tried tailoring his stats both to fit his status as a relatively unknown, not spectacular, and modern hero, as well as make his NP both useful, yet not overpowered.

    Class: Caster
    True Name: Nicholas Flamel
    Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
    Place of Origin: France

    Strength- E
    Endurance- E
    Agility- C
    Mana- A
    Luck- B
    NP- A

    Height/Weight: 175kg/68kg
    Likes: Alcohol, Gold
    Dislikes: Sobriety, Poverty
Talent: Defying the laws of nature
Natural Enemy: The Father of Alchemy

    Class Skills:
    • Territory Creation (B) - Creation of a "Workshop" becomes possible.
    • Item Construction (EX) - With this level one can create a variety of tools, objects and so, like a powerful mana cumulate crystal such as the "philosopher's stone", artificial spirits that correspond to the five elements called Elementals, robots endowed with multiple-body-synchronous-thinking ability, etc.

    Personal Skills:
    • Alchemy (A+) - The medieval forerunner of chemistry and the magecraft system concerned with transmutation of matter. Nicholas Flamel is a master of the craft and can convert matter into anything imaginable - provided he has the raw materials necessary.
    • Golden Rule (C) - Measures one's fortune to acquire wealth. At this rank, he is capable of amassing a great amount of wealth due to his magecraft abilities and business skill.
    • Librarian of Stored Knowledge (B) - An ability that makes it possible for a clear recall of knowledge from memory with a successful Luck check, even if the information perceived in the past was not consciously acknowledged at the time. Flamel may recall anything their senses took in as if they were currently observing them, and will automatically recall any information if they encounter something closely associated with it. Bonus Effect of being resistant to all abilities that affect the servants memory.

    Noble Phantasm
True Philosopher's Stone The Great Work (Magecraft) (A) - The Philosopher's Stone is the pinnacle of all Alchemy. It is a large, dull and rough looking stone that does not look impressive but its power greatly surpasses its aesthetic. It acts as a powerful transmutation amplifier. It secretes a mysterious ichors that will transmute any metal into gold. In addition it can create Elixirs of Life - continued consumption of which make one effectively immortal.
The true power of this stone is that it allows one to overwrite the first and otherwise absolute law of alchemy, that of Equivalent Exchange. This allows Nicholas Flamel to defy the restrictions of reality and create matter and pure energy from nothing.

    Lore

The "Face of Alchemy" and its most famous practitioner. Nicolas Flamel was a successful French scribe and manuscript-seller. After his death, Flamel developed a reputation as an alchemist believed to have discovered the Sorcerer's Stone and achieved immortality. These legendary accounts only appeared in the seventeenth century.

Flamel lived in Paris and his life is one of the best documented in the history of medieval alchemy. He ran two shops as a scribe and married a rich and beautiful wife. They were noted for their wealth and philanthropy.

Flamel lived into his 80s, and in 1410 designed his own tombstone, which was carved with the images of Christ, St. Peter, and St. Paul. He was buried in Paris at the Musée de Cluny at the end of the nave of the former Church of Saint-Jacques-de-la-Boucherie. His will, dated 22 November 1416, indicates that he was generous but that he did not have the extraordinary wealth of later alchemical legend. Legendary accounts of Flamel's life claim that he succeeded at the two goals of alchemy: that he made the Philosopher's Stone, which turns base metals into gold, and that he and his wife Perenelle created the "Elixir of Life".

A genius, millionaire, playboy, philanthropist. Nicholas lives to enjoy himself and has a habit to not take anything seriously. He would spend most of his time reading books, drinking wine and chasing skirts. In spite of the expected first impression one may make of him and is a very wise individual, well versed in all manner of lore. He also has a keen intellect matched by very few and out of everything in the world, nothing grabs his attention like a new interesting project. He is highly motivated by his work as it is what allowed him to attain great wealth and glory and can very easily get sucked into a project - spending days at a time working.

He wishes for "Something interesting" as delightfully vague as that is.

A bit of a scale down from Echidna, this is a more of an average Caster but still pretty damn famous. I'm not sure he's been done yet so here he is.

And no I can't think of a decent Spaniard to make.
