Fou Fou!!
You could argue that Protection from Faeries is "generic" because Lancelot did it first.
Godspeed is pretty cool if complete wank.
Well, technically it would more likely be something like Merlin's "Hybrid" Skill than a blessing from furies like Lancelot, but I digress.
Hmm...I guess this speaks more about my dislike of Richard as a whole. No matter how much I think about it, he just comes across as a mess of ideas mashed together into a single Servant. The Skills are one thing but the NPs are on another level of ill fitting - Excalibur reeks like it's just there to have a traditional beamu sword because Saber Class anddoesn't feel like it matches Richard and would've been better served for someone like Robin Hood whose legend is inescapable from that of his followers.Discount Ionion HetairoiRounds of Lionheart
But that's just my personal taste really.
That seems like the kind of skill that could have different effects depending on the Servant though.
At least it would be very boring for all elementals to give out Luck bonuses.
Do we even know what Hybrid actually does for Merlin?
I don't see how Rounds of Lionheart is similar at all to Ionioi Hetairoi. Their application is completely different.
From Merlin's FGO mats
It gives him incubus powers, that we saw him use, related to him feeding off dreams and such

Sure, the final application is different, but both are NP that summon their companions from the Throne as low rank masterless servants
The difference is how Richard has all of his buddies on his shadow while Iskandar deploys them inside a RM, and the number of people they bring with them
Iskandar as well uses them as an overwhelming force to attack, while Richard employs their abillities to maneuver around depending the circumstance
So, is a similar or same type of "summon my companions" NP, applied in different ways because of the user/servant

As the last hero that straddles the age of myth and man, having legends embellished with magic that are disseminated through modern means is fair enough(?)
He's still kind of a mess.
It feels like Narita read a book on Richie and played up parts of his life that the book emphasized and not necessarily what's immediately obvious to normies through osmosis.
I don’t think Excalibur was just thrown out there for beamus. To me it feels like the starting point of the whole character building. The core concept Narita was going for is fakes, so he researched who could possibly have a fake Excalibur and reached Richard the Lionheart. Then all the rest was thrown in later.
Reminder Volume 6 comes out tomorrow
