Heracles' flaw was never hubris, though, unlike most Greek heroes. His problem was wrath.

He does this primarily out of an amplified wrath because his whole thing is also taking revenge against the gods for his suffering, some of which is understandable.
I'd say his whole gods suck thing is less hubris and more undying hatred and resentment.

Perhaps, but it'd lack any emotional weight IMO, unless they do it so that Alkeides sacrifices himself against a rampaging Ishtar or something.
Why do you think Alk is redeemable at this point.
I just don't see it happening that way. If anything Ishtar will complete her original mission of destroying a rebellious demigod.
I think any redemption has to equal death, and it's less redemption and more using him to show that idealism and justice are still worth pursuing by having John and/or Hippolyta defeating him and him coming back to his senses at the end.
That, and his situation seriously reminds me of Bruford from JoJo Part I and some of the Upper Moons in Demon Slayer, who all basically came back to themselves at death and reflected on how they got where they were.

Why does it need to be a sacrifice, and why does there have to be any emotional weight? There are other elements to writing and reasons to put a character out of commission.
I prefer emotional writing over battles to the death. But honestly I don’t care how Alkeides goes down.
I just want to see the extent Musketeer's Masquerade can boost people.
Not expecting Sieg level upgrades but seeing the versatility of the modifications would also be neat. Since it's a matter of overwriting the person's history I'm curious as to how much of John will be left once he's been fanfic'd by Dumas.
