Option A) two double cour seasons (1-5, 6-10), making Gil's non-death the cliffhanger.
Option B) three single cour seasons (1-3, 4-6, 7-10), putting Tsubaki's conclusion as the season finale it always deserved to be and using Flat's death as a cliffhanger, but at the cost of making season one an all introductions season.
Also would not be shocked if they make a 40 minute first episode similar to the ufotable shows to get all of volume 1's introductions out of the way quickly.
I mean 86 turned out pretty great adaptation wise lol. Honestly adaptations will inevitably be disatisfying in one way or another as a source reader so unless they fuck up one of my favourite scenes (every Richard/Ayaka moment) I'll probably be satisfiedOriginally Posted by madarra

Like I said, it's all better than nothing, and I get that that's the way things are, esp. with how in-demand and there're multiple T-M projects on, but still, since I'm a firm believer in T-M works really showing off their full breadth and thesis through their completeness.

Just saw fans on twitter asking Narita for this exact thing, he answered with a non-answer of "thank you very much, I'm gonna work hard to write the rest of the story"
I wouldn't hold my breath for any announcement by the end of the special but maybe down the line...
Grail War stories overall has better chance to be a full series when adapted, so there's that I guess.

I don't see what strange fake getting an anime has anything to do with the HF movies.
Strange fake is fun, I love most the characters and I find the conflicts interesting to watch unfold. That said if one is looking for a story with some deep/convoluted character philosophy you're not going to get that here.
SF is like a FGO event.

Crying for Tadahisa Saizen rn he might finally get to say more than one line for Herk.
Great to see that vol 8 will be released this winter. The ova might be to gauge interest and encourage Narita to increase the pace of the series a bit.
If Narita can keep with his plan of 10 volumes then he might be trying to finish this out. Maybe he can get volume 9 out by fall of 2023 and final volume in 2024.
WOw anime special, that's good, I hope for a full adaptation faithfull and not like Lord El-Melloi II where only adapted 1 Canon case.
Btw any news of Volume 7 translation I'm hungry for more SF, and know what happend XD
If not for the fact they advertised the voice actors participating in the series like Gil`s and Richards, i`d be pushing the narative that the entire special will be ONLY the adaptation of the Mr A story from FHA
