Who do you people think will die first in the next chapter?
Jack is staying alive at least until Flat's plot is resolved and Hippolyta hasn't even introduced her Master yet. Humbaba, on the other hand, is the target Enkidu is actively after now, so I can see her being the next to drop out.
That's exactly my reason to think Humbaba is dropping soon. She's the mid-boss to Gugalanna/Ishtar herself's big boss.
Not to mention Haruri is kinda useless and serves little purpose other than giving Ishtar a pawn.
I wonder what Narita's gonna do with Enkidu though, since his relationship with Humbaba is the main thing he's got going on so it would be thematically appropriate for him die there too. Then there would need to be some kind of new teamup against Gugalanna, but do you see Gil teaming up with anyone if Enkidu is down? Will it just be Grand Lancer Sigma with Grand Assassin John Wingard?
Oh my god y'all were actually taking that question seriously now I'm just embarrassed
i want alkeides to bite it though, I've had enough of him
As for Haruri and Humbaba
Humbaba's probably sticking around for a while, which I imagine will have to do with EnkiduOriginally Posted by vol 4 afterword

No new volume in september. If Narita keeps to his current schedule, it should be released in october.
Probably Baccano next. And maybe Durarara after?
A few months ago he mentioned he's going to write a short story spin off for Kurayukaba after he finishes his draft of a Baccano manuscript. I thought a date for the Baccano volume would have been announced by now...

Hopefully we don't get another vol gap like 4 and 5 did.
A two year gap seems uncredibly unlikely IMO.
Narita also said he wanted to release 2 volumes of SF in 2020, and to "keep to his current schedule" (which would be 1/9mo). Then he released that tweet, and COVID might have affected his schedule. We also don't know what his publishers want or his contractual obligations with them. Maybe relative popularity also plays a role. Given Narita's repeated declarations and SF's popularity, I'm hoping for (and betting on) another SF release sometime in 2020.
If you follow his tweets, he seems to be mostly going on about his manga, which I don't care about at all. I wish he would drop them to work on the LN.
