I agree that I'm a bit disappointed with the NP steal, but we don't know all there is to it. So I'm just gonna hope Narita has some interesting twists up his sleeve before I pass judgement.

The OP-ness seems to come from the fact that Bazdilot has a huge supply of mana to give (something that Acht would probably manage to obtain given that Berserakles had no mana issues) and without the mud Herakles would actually be able to use God Hand on top of his other NPs. The Mud honestly seems to have just been to keep him in check since he wasn't willing to do dirty work without.
