Even Vanilla Her would have demons, if Berserker's protectiveness towards Ilya means anything. He probably feels guilt for all the people he killed in his wrath, and he frames his second life as another set of trials, implying a perpetual need to overcome something. Also, I am partial to super buff gentleman, like Jonathan Joestar.

honestly when I first heard about GoB turning off I thought Herc stole it lol.
Tbh I odn't really like edgy herc that much either, if I'm being honest.
However, I mean looking at the "antagonists" we have, ishtar, jester, prelati like I think alkeides is taking up the screentime now but the more he does this the more he's digging his own grave.
He feels like a midboss. Also, if he doesn't die like Bruford, I will be very disappointed.
