Oh, and I feel I should point out that the infamous "What is a man?" quote isn't some hilarious bungle on the part of the localization team or anything. That's a reference to Andre Malraux. Somehow. Guess Dracula traveled through time to read all the books so he could be the most cultured.

Has anyone else played that one 3D castlevania with Hector, the vampire-blacksmith? I quite liked that one, especially since one of the weapons was seriously the Power Glove.
Castlevania is the main focus of my game collecting. I've been working on getting them all CIB, and am maybe 70% finished with the US side.

Castlevania: Ricordanza of the God's Abyss, light novel. It's a sequel to Aria/Dawn or Sorrow. Soma makes a cameo apperance and it's written by the same guy behind Durarara.

- Castlevania III Dracula's Curse (f**k you stairs! f**k you Medusa heads! -Dies again- F@%#^K!)
- Aria of Sorrow (Pimpin' white coat absorbs blood & souls perfectly)
- Symphony of the Night (Enough Meme's...have at thee!)
(Also love Ys...but that story is for another day)
- Castlevania Legends (What is it w/ them & their hatred for female protagonists & canon continuity? Her & Alucard's love child would have been an interesting origin)
- Dracula X: Rondo of Blood (Back flippin', item crashin' vampire hunter...should really try the PSP remake too)
- Circle of the Moon (I'll use my magic card!)
- Harmony Of Dissonance (Alucard must have been waking up every now & then to bone a female Belmont. Also furniture & good room designing gets all the 17th century ladies)
Order of Ecclesia, Dawn of Sorrow & Portrait Of Ruin is in my gaming backlog...which just keeps growing. No interest on any 3D Castlevania (tried the C64 ones & is reminded of the Castlevania fighting game *shakes fist*) but maybe someday.
I like how Death is such a bro in the light novel.
Also, I remember playing Circle of the Moon when I was like in grade school. I just started Harmony of Dissonance, Juste looks so much like Alucard or his long lost twin or something. Makes me think Alucard got freaky with a Belmont somewhere down the line.
Simon's Quest was actually pretty good, when you were eight.
Also never managaged to beat Dracula in original Castevania. Too much bullshit with knife or shuriken, and I couldn't beat Death with za warudo. Had to be shuriken, which actually got the projectiles out of the way.
I've beaten Touhou extra bosses and they got NOTHING on Death.

Just beat lords of shadow 2. Holy damn that was a shitty final fight. Lords of Shadow 1 had a much better last boss fight. Also, the story wasn't very good.
