But seriously, I just watched Episodes one through six of season one (rented DVDs), and this has got me hooked. Anybody know where I can see the Season 2 episodes without being blocked by locality?

Try TubePlus. That's what I use.

Finished season 1.
A certain episode nearly threw me off, but I'm too curious to drop the series.
Artist's block. Bigger bitch than karma, I swear.
To be fair, lots of awesome stuff happened in AFFC and ADWD, it's just that there's an awful lot of "meh" padding.
That throws off the rythm of the whole thing and makes even the good bits look worse than they could.
The TV script writers are going to streamline the fuck out of those 2 books.

Also, here's the hipster way to read AFFC+ADWD combined:

Honestly, this is probably one of the best TV shows I have watched. It has a Lord of the Rings feel but much more gritty and medieval.
-Yet those gems will never roll anything-
Get hype, you all.

The next series I'll watch after White Collar.
I assume it's good, right?
I really hope the book and TV series diverge wildly. :x

Never read the books, but I watched the first two seasons last weekend and just dl'd and watched S3-1. Fucking love this show, 10/10 stuff.
Everyone I've talked to who has read the books has told me that the 3rd is when everyone's life REALLY goes to shit.
My body couldn't be more ready.
this god darn show keeps making me wanna watch it with how much I keep seeing it evrywhere
I'm actually glad they removed the reference to how the Unsullied kill puppies as well as babies because that scene would have just gotten as silly as it was in the book.

Yeah George Martin weird trolling sometimes.
@Username But they kept the killing babies part.
For some reason most people I know are more horrified when they hear about people who kill puppies over babies.

Yes, but killing puppies - which keep in mind they raise themselves from birth - AND killing a baby and then proceeding to give her money for her troubles? That shit's starting to get hilarious with how needlessly over the top blatantly evil and "this is really hardcore, guys" the army of emotionless human robot slaves are.
I myself laughed heartily after I got over the kneejerk horror.

Even by itself, the killing babies thing is pretty silly.
"HEY GUYS ARE WE HARDCORE YET"

I'm still not sure how killing puppies, babies and being eunuchs translates into not being able to feel pain.

They also take lots and lots of morphine.
Also, wondering if we'll get a Red Wedding divergence or not.
I'm puzzled by the absence of the Red Viper in this season (unless he's been secretly cast or something), and wondering how much they are going to cover in this season.
