Ok this is a major delayed reaction to season 6. see up untill 2 days ago I hadnt seen a single episode because I was so busy with the comp and all. with that outta my hair, I sat down to mainline the series. Obviously, up until this very moment, I have avoided this thread like the plague
hot takes.
Hold the door was the key note of this season. Just...that whole scene. that set up...that everything.
fat man continues to fatman :|
arya, from beginning to end this season, love it love it love it.
sakura stark was ok, not as good as I had heard. not as bad as usual.
oh yeah, rickon. he is a thing. oops, guess not anymore
man, that ending though. The efforts to contain cersei fail and she tightens her grip on the iron throne, just in time for dragon jesus to swoop in, nobody could have predicted that
oh right
Also, I watched a little of the writer/director commentary
when they got to arya, they said something like "arya's story has been pretty dark, it's also simple. She was wronged greatly and wants revenge. When she returns, while it's true that nobody will mourn Frey, for an arya fan this moment is and should be pretty disconcerting. Revenge or not, she has become a person who could cut someone's throat and smile at them while they die.
yeah. I was listening to that like, speak for yourself jack! This arya fan has been waiting for this. I felt a great deal like the arena doctor in the Simpsons when homer fought draederick Tatum. The camera pans over and it's expected I should be horrified and trying to stop the fight, but in reality I'm on my feet screaming "kill him, kill him!" As loud as I can
That's...definitely an odd commentary on her. I mean, I'm with you and I think most people who have been waiting for Arya to actually do something. Her story hasn't really been about whether or not to be a killer, its been about how long she can tolerate these silly assassin guys in order to get training until she goes on a rampage.
I guess there was the little bit with her and the actors...but that's not really a path suitable for this story. Even if she did join them, they'd end up running into Danny or be horribly killed, or both to drag her back into the plot.
Arya fans have really been wanting her to tone down the vengeance? That's pretty much her character. Strap her in a cyborg body and lets roll.
I want to see lots of face carving in every Arya scene.
Spoiler:
I liked the part where Cersei blew everyone sky high.
The last episode of the 6 was the greatest! I loved to see Ramsay turn into ashes!
Pokemon Fan! Love checkinv IV's with IV calculator all day.
Ashes to ashes, poo to poo.
<NEW FIC!> Revolution #9: Somewhere out there, there's a universe in which your mistakes and failures never happened, and all you wished for is true. How hard would you fight to make that real?
[11:20:46 AM] GlowStiks: lucina is supes attractive
[12:40] Lace: lucina is amazing
[12:40] Neir: lucina is pretty much flawless
Anyone read the recent huge leak?
Some of it sounds plausible, some of it dumb, most of it plausible and dumb, for the show at least.
how anticlimactic
