Not much to say, but an update on the status of my decision. I'm planning to go ahead with this, but unless I can configure my recording software better or something, I'm going to have to stick to five minute videos. Kept trying to get one that was around 10-11 minutes done today, and the audio was about 4-5 seconds behind the video by the end of it. Just wanted everyone to be aware.

Alright, here's both parts of Scene 1, where we're introduced to the main character and on of the sub-heroines. As I said earlier, I'm still having problems with keeping the video and audio synchronized, but I'm not sure how much more I can do on it, since I'm having to record full screen as such. Any help would be greatly appreciated. With that, enjoy!

Heh, god I spent at least half the day in frustration over trying to record the whole thing in one go, than the lag towards to end made me want to throw the mouse after about the 6th time, and I just said screw it, and decided to just do small vids.

It's going to suck though I bet when I get to the battles, cause I'm really going to want to record those non-stop, since I feel even the slightest interruption to click the next vid might kill some of the epic feeling.

Alright, I decided to do a bit of a marathon since I was off last night and got Scene 1 up, and now here's Scene 2, where we see Reiji's 'favorite place', and meet the rest of his family. Now using Spoiler taga because it'll keep the size of the page low.

I saw a few adds for this in Comptiq and I remember lolling at how so many characters were like, direct references to touhou characters.

The Japanese text in those videos is really hard to see.

Well, it's a very rough translation, and I'm trying to make do with what I can. Although, I can assure you I'm definitely not trying to change anything on purpose. I want to keep it as close as it possibly can be to what it really is.

As for the actual text being so hard to read, I can't help it. This VN already runs on a higher resolution than I normally use, and having to record full screen, than compressing the vids to a manageable size takes it's toll on the quality somewhat, as I already mentioned with the audio lag. The file size on these vids compressed is about 20-30 MB's, give or take a few. Uncompressed, they're around 200MB-1GB, depending on how long the recording is.

Also, working on Chapter 3 for sure, because it introduces my favorite character! ^_^

And the last one for a bit, probably today, I'll give Scene 3. Also, because now that I'm not blind and noticed that I can always just combine clips together, I think I shouldn't have to worry about anymore loss of audio/visual synchronization, as long as I edit it right. Everyone should be able to tell where I snipped because the BGM will skip, but o well, as long as the end result is one smooth flowing video, I won't give a damn.

Well, it depends on the person. I liked Fate (NO REALLY?!) but I'm not fond of Fate clones because... dude, I already played Fate, give me something new!

There's so many VNs/eroge out there and so many of them are obvious clones of something else, it's hard to find original stuff.

Thoughts so far:

I can see why Momiji would become your favorite character. She and Sayuki are tied for faves with me, actually.

Heheheh, Momiji is just so cute early on.

Sayuki is actually a lot cuter than I thought she would be, but she's #4 in my books, behind Momiji, Sakura and Nagisa.

Truth be told though, I only like Sakura because of the comedic relief, to which she is AWESOME.

Heh, good point. What's "the same thing I've seen a hundred times, yawn" to people who can choose between all the VNs out there can be "omg, new and exciting!" to people who are limited to what's translated.
