Upcoming fighting game project from French Bread, the good ol' makers of Melty Blood. If the PV is anything to go by, it looks fairly promising.
Also, apparently Nasu has taken an interest in it. How far this will go, however, remains to be seen.
As more information presents itself I'm certain we'll be talking more about this, so it might have been a wise decision to set this thread up.

Nice big sprites. The gameplay looks more like KOF than MB, which I definitely prefer. I don't like that whole 2a spammin into bnb feeling.
The sprites look much better, sort of like how Blaz Blue was. Although I hope they do the same for the upcoming Melty Blood as well...
Damn, Carmine sure looks like the typical "look at meee, I'm sooo craaazy" dude. Hyde reminded me a lot to Kaede from The Last Blade.
Waldstein and Linne look good enough too. Can't wait to see more characters.

Yeah I was confused by that too. Initially I thought it was a crazy, metrosexual man like Freeman from Garou: Mark of the Wolves.(I'm a huge fighter fan, especially of SNK, before a fan of TM, so those are the characters I always compare to first.
And yeah, I thought the same of Hyde. Then again that blonde, messy-haired character design has been used a lot. Rock from MotW is a dead ringer for Kaede. Hell even male Saber in Takeuchi's extra art books looks like him.
This girl sure has some nice pecs and manhips and finishes her sentences with "ze". Goddamn, can't wait for the ero fanart.
Okay, serious time now. Not only it's pretty obvious, but researching a little it seems like FB confirmed in a blog post (or maybe Twitter) that Carmine is a dude.

In the year 20XXit's widley accepted that science can disprove any strange phenomena in the world. However in later years rumors begin to emerge about 'Cannibal Shadows' aka UNREAL BLACK THINGS. If a human has his own shadow eaten by the Shadow, they become Night Hollows that forever wander the earth as dead zombie things.
Hyde's your typical sword-wielding Japanese highschooler. No real interest in trivial things and doesn't give a crap about some silly rumors of cannibal shadows, yet somewhere in his heart he yearns for excitement and adventure in his life. As luck would have it, one day while walking home from school Hyde encounters an UNREAL BLACK THING quickly approaching him. Linne, a girl on a mission, encounters Hyde by chance and saves him and they form a companionship to fight off the remainder UNREAL BLACK THINGS.Actually I have no idea if he's Japanese or not (or where UNIB takes place for that matter) I just assumed as much from his crazy get up and sword. ┐('～`；)┌ He is a highschooler though and did encounter the black thing on his way home from school.
Waldstein's also like a guardian figure for Linne and Carmine's just nuts.Gordeau's an invincible mercenary trying to stop his childhood friend Hilda from getting "Amnesia" (Spiral of Oblivion in Kanji) or something like that.
Orie's an orphan raised by a cult an organization striving for world peace called LichtKreis (Halo in Kanji :\ ) after her parents were eaten by UNREAL BLACK THINGS. She's also under orders from the organization to get "Amnesia". Or more info on it anyway.
