I've said this before but I thought Ayako would be Lancer's Master, and I hate Ayako forever for not living up to this expectation. Also I thought FSN would be more Tsukihime-like with the routes so I thought maybe Rider and Illya were heroines.

F/SN was my first VN. Thought it would have RPG battle sections. For Archer vs Lancer in the prologue I was all like "oh it's just the prologue." Then Saber vs Lancer happened and it was just text. I was like WTF is this. And then I remembered all those Give Yourself Goosebump books existed.
Arc not having glasses. I got Tsukihime after reading the wikipedia article. Seriously the Tsukihime box art on wikipedia makes it look like Arc has glasses and I thought the person on the cover was actually Shiki cos the plot summary talked about the MC having glasses. Which is why I thought Shiki was going to be blond and that purple skirt thing was just really long flair pants.
Also playing Unlimited Codes before the VN, I expected Luvia and Bazett in SN which they are I guess...

Thats nothing new, its been established since way back in FF6.
Since I played Tsuki after the voice-patched FSN, I thought there would be voice acting in it.
I thought Ciel route wouldn't have so many identicals scenes with Arc route.

Tsukihime: As already mentioned in this thread, voice acting. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't a voice patch for it and was kinda frustrated ... Hopefully this will come with the remake!
I expected Ayako route. ;_;
I expected HF to make me think Mike was some kind of insightful, oppressed minority in the fandom.
I was proven wrong very quickly. I blame that on having perhaps a bit too much faith in humanity.

Nah, they just claim they only like it because Ilya/Kirei/InsertAwesomeFight, instead of Sakura. It's people that like Sakura that got done over by his fanaticism.
Even so, I think there is a valid reason to like Sakura, but Mike had to go and ruin it for everyone.
